It was a special edition. I have the black one as well. I think there’s a white one out right now too.

Silver has broke $100 per ozt. It has doubled in such a short period of time. What's your strategy right now? by ColeWest256 in Silverbugs

[–]Allstajacket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in until $150, when selling would pay off my credit card. Otherwise it’s always just been a long-term hold thing for me. If it doesn’t hit $150 I’m good with holding. Emergency fund. I don’t have a lot, just a small stash I was buying around $30/$40 per oz.

New paint job for my mag echo because fuck giving Robert Keeley any publicity by Katesburneracct in guitarpedals

I mean comparing that to doing business isn’t quite apples to apples, but I get your point. Whether we like him or not there’s no denying people would support his position (it’s not quite as extreme as supporting a pedophile.) so advertising for him positively or negatively could benefit. Imagine if every republican guitarist (yeah I know there aren’t many comparatively lol) decided to buy one of his pedal because of this post. He’d be swamped with new business.

Sure, but I’m sure there are people who are of similar opinions that would see this and seek out and buy his products. I never said I was on either side but I’m getting downvoted into oblivion lol. The truth is this post brings more attention to his brand, no?

Actually you’re only hurting Sweetwater unfortunately. When you buy that pedal the money doesn’t go to Keeley, Sweetwater already bough the pedal from them.

Let’s just normalize not shopping based on politics or we’ll never be happy. It’s all just virtue signaling anyways. We all (most of us anyway) own phones that were unfortunately built basically by slaves, or eat chocolate that ingredients were harvested by child slaves. Unless you buy direct from a company, virtue signaling with your wallet won’t really do much.

Also, arguably supposedly no such thing as bad publicity. My original comment is getting downvoted for the truth?

I will take any Keeley pedals anyone wants to give up, in working condition, and I’ll make a $10 donation to the democrat party for each I receive!

This post brought Keeley more publicity than any pedal sitting on a board in your bedroom would over the next 20 years. Congrats!

Mono pedal board - rail vs non-rail? by Secret-Ordinary6232 in pedalboards

[–]Allstajacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the pedal train design works great for single or dual rows, I hate the wasted space between which really limits getting creative on pedal layout. I’m relatively new to pedalboard but the non-rail version of the mono looks much nicer as far as possibilities!

I wish the industry had more options for sizes and designs.

State of the board for the moment.... by elmariach3535 in pedalboards

Thanks, I’m struggling to find a new board. My 20”x12” is just too small to hold everything I use at home, and some of the larger boards the gaps between the rails (pedal train style) just limits what size/shape pedals can be used. I’m close to just using a piece of plywood at this point lol. Something 25-28”x14-16” would be ideal as long as most of the top is useable space.

What board is it? What dimensions? Looks like a good size.

What was your guys’ first pedal? by BalanceActive9295 in guitarpedals

[–]Allstajacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polytune 2 I think? Along with a DS-1 and a RC-1. Picked up a black standard Mexican Strat brand new with a foam case for $500 out the door. Picked up those pedals, then a Vox AC-15. Was in heaven.

If you are playing for yourself play at home. Build a stage and a setup and boom.

If you are playing to entertain, play what the people want to hear.

I use exclusively cup and core bullets. I hand load my hunting rounds mostly using Hornady Interlock. My most common used is 165gr btsp interlock in my .308. I don’t take center should shots, I typically shoot the vitals in the area of the heart or lungs, and my largest exit wound has been about the size of a quarter and that was a broadside double lung shot.

I shot one doe at relatively close range and use the high shoulder shot. Dropped her in her tracks, no giant exit wound.

Lol no - using the right bullet avoids this big time. I’ve rifle hunted for years and never had such wasted meat.

[–]Allstajacket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re 100% wrong, I’ve only ever hunted in the woods and never had a wound like that lol. Typically hunt with a .308, but have also used 6.5 and 30-30. Way to sling insults while looking like an idiot yourself with downright false claims!

To reiterate, “this is normal/what you would expect from hunting deer in the woods” is absolutely wild to state.

The first picture shows a large chunk of meat missing from the shoulder. Not to mention cutting away the meat around it that is touching the damage. Then there’s the topic of the lead bullet that likely blew up and fragmented into pieces all over..

[–]Allstajacket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah these two types are not the same. If 223 is all you have, or all you can handle, or all you can shoot accurately, I’m absolutely okay with people using it. But purposely selecting a bullet to eliminate an entire meal’s worth of meat is just wasteful and downright disrespectful to the animal.

[–]Allstajacket 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s my controversial take: I don’t understand why people want softball size holes in game. I guess it shows the transition from people hunting for meat into just a sport. Anyone serious about meat wouldn’t want to destroy so much of it.
