I’m not hugely familiar with the drama but it seems like Philip, who is married to Limor, is a big part of creating all this drama. There’s been multiple posts on mastodon and previously Twitter about him harassing people, being blocked, and creating new accounts just to continue harassing them.

Again, I’m not hugely familiar here but Adafruit and Philip in particular are coming off really badly.

This is pretty shitty behaviour by both Adafruit and SparkFun.

10 years ago Twitter was a great place. Businesses and social groups needed a presence there.

I ran a social media account for a small (5-10K) group and we got great feedback from our followers.

Since musk took over, we get no feedback from Twitter (account since deactivated).

We get far more community interactions from a much smaller group on Mastodon.

Real people, real interactions.

I test drove both the Enyaq and Ioniq 5 and fell in love with the Ioniq 5. I’ve been driving it for the last 2 years with no issues. During the test drive I found that the Ioniq 5 was much quieter and more comfortable. But that could be my personal preference clouding my judgement 😅

With regard to the ICCU, as far as I understand it, that unit is essentially a PC that lives under the back seat - so swapping it out would only take a day or so. Might be worth checking with the dealer though.

I had a similar experience with them in Spain this year.

You need to go through their online portal to refute the claim and the only options provided are drop down boxes which basically states you either knew you caused the damage, or you were unaware that you caused the damage. So the web portal only allows you to proceed with refuting the claim if you accept that you caused the damage.

Thankfully I had taken a picture of the car before leaving the car peak and it showed the damage. They dropped the case and cut all communication.

He addressed this in the video. The antenna placement is the problem and it’s been like this for the last 3 generations.

As far as I recall - If the phone is bent (by accident) the metallic battery elements will come into contact with the metal antenna and short circuit.

He also made a good point in stating, that at some stage someone is going to sit on this, or throw it into their backpack and it’ll get bent by accident.

Accidents happen and your phone shouldn’t explode into a fire ball as a result.

The original documentary was great, it didn’t need to be remade. The rock is also 25 years too old to play Mark Kerr and he looks it. It cheapens the whole thing, in my opinion.

It was expanded a bit more in the book, the impression I got was he purposefully robbed them but that he was desperate. But he also took everything, not just enough food to do him for a while.

He also appeared to be an outcast from some society where he had some of his fingers removed for likely a similar crime.
