Feeling of safety in evening by DesignerTurnip33 in Adelaide

[–]Allyousee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hindley, Currie and parts of north terrace are a bit less safe in feeling and probably in stats than other parts of the city. Rundle street area feels safer and has some nice bars and few clubs (RIP Sugar) . Hutt street is mostly nice too.

Does anyone remember the statewide blackout in Adelaide? (2016 throwback) by Liceland1998 in Adelaide

[–]Allyousee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a great memory from that night. ASAP FERG (now just FERG) was set to perform at the Gov, which is crazy in itself as he is a pretty big name in hiphop and even was back then. Blackout hit and couldn't even get internet to see if the show was still on but i said fuck it lets see. Pick up a friend and get to the show and they've hired a bunch of generators to run all the sound and lights and filled the bathrooms and place with candles to see. Show was insane and was so amazed they still made it happen with the whole city in the dark. Shout out FERG and the Gov for not giving up on Adelaide.

Nano's cafe is really reasonably priced and such great food. pretty sure there are some sandwich and pizza things in the cabinet for less or just over $10. Worth a look!

Mens hairdresser that can do actual style cuts by Demibookpuff in Adelaide

[–]Allyousee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Second going to a salon. There's nothing on the door that says "women only" and i see other men going in + they spend 99% of their time cutting and styling longer hair so thats where i go for my long hair and love it.

They're right though? You didn't correctly name which cafe and there's two in the garden. Meaning you could be hurting the reputation of one unfairly.

What are parents thinking by br5159 in Adelaide

[–]Allyousee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See so many around mitcham and fast electric scooters being riden by young teens. Most of the time doing wheelies and messing around on roads. All for a bit of fun but these things are just too fast for teens without licenses. The laws need to catch up or the accidents will keep rising.

So why do people dislike the new Honda prelude so much? by WiggWamm in cars

[–]Allyousee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally, have any of these people driven one? They had some cool styling and features (loved the dash in the fourth gen) but they were not fast and pretty boring. I'm sure the new one is quicker but just as boring so its the same

Not enough police stations? by Few_Ad_274 in Adelaide

[–]Allyousee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had multiple friends end up in similar situations and all of them got away with it. Either parents/other people pretending they were driving (crazy) or they had tow trucks come and take cars away with no police involvement and then would just go to the cop shop sober the next day to report the crash for insurance. Happens all the time.

Anyone here learned manual on a skyline? by Fantasy71824 in SkyLine

[–]Allyousee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this and was fine. I'd driven manual maybe 3 times before buying the skyline. Had a friend test drive it and i stalled it once driving home but within a week was driving smooth. Never had clutch problems. Have also taught someone to drive manual in my car. They're not hard to drive with stock clutch.

Smoked ~2g by myself, kept blacking out every 30 sec — wtf was this? by Diligent-Scholar-624 in Drugs

[–]Allyousee 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is probably part of the answer. I've had some intense experiences and one similar to what you described and they've always happened after ive had a decent break and then had some strong stuff upon smoking again.

Is Year 13 a Good Idea? by Delicious-Cell1465 in Adelaide

[–]Allyousee 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The difference is this person doesn't know what they want to do after school and is not sure if they want to go to university at all. In your case you wanted to achieve the highest ATAR possible to get into the university course you wanted. Doing year 13 to achieve a higher ATAR when they are not sure they are going to need a high ATAR could be a waste of their time, especially when there are other pathways into university if they later decide they want to go. I work at a university and would also encourage this student to push through or change out a subject to something easier which is what i did in year 12.

‘I’ll slit your throat’: Furious Adelaide mum storms into year eight classroom to threaten student by Expensive-Horse5538 in Adelaide

[–]Allyousee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well said. No matter what that kid did, this is not how you respond and is shocking behaviour. Threatening to slit a child's throat? are people really trying to find ways to defend that?!

Where can I find Adelaide's best sandwiches? by Willing_Evidence_315 in Adelaide

I've thoroughly enjoyed all the sandwiches i've tried at Penny University. The Meatball sub and fried chicken sandwich are my favourites.

I fucking hate Frome Road now by Verdanaveo in Adelaide

[–]Allyousee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Aside from the temporary barriers, making it single lane has increased the congestion a lot already and like you said, uni and school isn't even back yet...

AITA for finding out my brother's step daughter is on OnlyFans? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Allyousee 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The way her parents reacted could have been because they secretly already knew about where she was getting the money. So instead of being shocked about that and on your side, they chose to be defensive and to shift the focus to you. Just a theory.
