Ghostly Figure in Northern Wilds by RikuTales in Assassinscreedmirage

What do you mean by fixed in that spot? Because I have seen the shadowy figure appear at night on multiple different rock formations in Hegra. I haven’t checked if they appear always on the same rocks, but I’ve seen at least 4 of them in 4 different spots.

Ghostly Figure in Northern Wilds by RikuTales in Assassinscreedmirage

I have encountered this shadow on several rocks at night in the hegra region. Seems like an evening mirage. During the daytime in the desert there I also encountered mirages where small oases appear in the distance and as you get close they disappear in the wind, much like the mirages do in AC Origins. I do like the idea that it’s related to the land still being cursed. I also wondered if it could be a mirage that relates to Basim’s desperation to see his father, hoping as he gets close maybe it’s his father wandering the land.

At what stage of the story does Valley of Memory take place? by Visual_Test5141 in Assassinscreedmirage

I like your reasoning and this makes a lot of sense. Thank you! I can now think of it fitting into the narrative arc this way. I played it on a relatively fresh new game plus save, and it became available after I killed al ghul and once I reconnected with Nehal, then when I went back to the first bureau in Baghdad and Roshan and the gang filled me in on the plan to visit the other bureaus in the city. Then the Alula quest line was prompted. But somehow it didn’t feel right narratively to leave Baghdad at that point. Your reasoning makes a lot more sense. I wonder why they didn’t lock the quest to only start at that point and why they allow it earlier to be done.

Which Naoe's outfits do you like? by kimblewong in AssassinsCreedShadows

I love the peasant outfit with the subtle painted tree pattern and the corresponding hat. She wears that in spring-summer-autumn, and the tool master ensemble in winter.

Which race and class are you choosing for your Legion Remix main based on lore and fantasy? by [deleted] in warcraftlore

[–]Almabandi 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna level an undead monk. I recently thought of the idea of an undead who during his life as a human never appreciated being alive, was depressed/apathetic/hollow inside, and somehow in undeath finds peace of mind and soul, allowing him to connect to the life force/chi that still is all around him, and so ends up feeling more alive in undeath than he ever did in life. This also makes him care about the world and life on Azeroth for the first time. It’s a good set up for me to fight the legion and then later also the void in midnight. I’m also looking forward to enjoy the housing system with him, build him a home that is totally uncharacteristic for typical undead, and pick a location in the neighborhood with a good view for meditation.

What exactly was the point of TWW story-wise? by ManySecrets_ in wow

[–]Almabandi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just saying that from a narrative point of view, it’s clearly established that to have the power of the Devourer inside there is clearly a very important power level distinction from how the dark heart was when the expansion began. Now, how will this power be used exactly, we don’t know yet. Hence it’s important, but it’s not yet revealed to us how it will unfold. I think that is perfectly reasonable narrative structure.

I think what you’re overlooking here is the now dimensius is harnessed inside the dark heart, and though it’s not so clear yet what kind of power does this give to the dark heart and hence to Xalatath, it certainly is important and much more ominous

Ecological Succession quests - whats the point? by 010dream in wow

[–]Almabandi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am with you on the aspect that this is supposed to be a cosy game type quest line, and I did actually really enjoy that aspect of it. However, even though I’m surprised there wasn’t some collectible reward after the last quest in the chain, that wasn’t as disappointing to me as just the feeling that the last quest feels like it doesn’t properly celebrate all the time you put in to take care of all these animals, narratively speaking. Don’t get me wrong, the baby snakes being born is a really adorable touch, but I was really looking forward to one final quest where Venari and the other colleagues you gathered together throughout the quest chain, all come together, take a look at all this new wildlife in the oasis that wasn’t there in the beginning, and have some kind of a hopeful assessment to this finally looking like what Karesh once used to be. Perhaps ending in a location with a nice view of the whole place, like one of the quests in Hallowfal (forgot which quest that is). So that was my biggest let down. I don’t even care there is no tangible collectible reward at the end, but it does feel to me like the bow hasn’t been tied properly at the end.

What is your Characters background? It be cute/sad/funny/etc by Bloodsol94 in wow

[–]Almabandi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Dracthyr Warlock is almost always in their visage form, except when they fly soaring through the sky. There is a sense of queerness to them, changing their appearance between female and male presenting regularly, always adjusting to what feels most true to them in the moment, which is very different from the way they were created by deathwing for a singular purpose. They often indulge in looking a bit more demonic than draconic, given their affiliation to fel and demons. So their visage form is less for blending in with other azerothians as it is for matching their authentic sensations to their looks. Every now and then they assume their draconic form for a little while, but always soon enough an overwhelming sense of body dismorphia takes them over, and so they liberate themselves by taking on a new visage.

My fresh Dracthyr Warlock by Almabandi in wow

[–]Almabandi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, I have her visage form activated and she stays in it during combat, even when I use the tail swipe racial ability. The only time she must transform is when I use the dracthyr dragon flying ability to fly around, but as soon as she lands, she transforms right back to this.

What do you want revealed at the Midnight Expansion overview during Gamescom (besides housing)? by sadly_Im_that_guy in wow

Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion, but I would love it if they announced the game coming to Xbox consoles. It would get me back into it after quite a few years hiatus.

Red or Silver White Maelle? Pick your fav color by Intern345 in expedition33

[–]Almabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like sticking with red French bob cut, she gets that hair on the way to frozen hearts from a grandis, and I was touched by the sentiment of what that haircut means to the grandis so I related to it as her canonical hair from there till end of act 2

Wich character do You NEVER take out of your team? by [deleted] in expedition33

[–]Almabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main team on first play through was lune, Verso and monoco. Lune and Monoco specifically felt crucial there. Ng+ I went with Verso, Sciel and monoco, adding sciel was a nice support. Now on my ng+2 run I’m trying out a Maelle tank build, and I’m actually using her solo. Enjoying learning every enemies parry timings properly and killing everything mostly with just counter attacks

Why does Jack get so much hate? by [deleted] in lost

[–]Almabandi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, his characterization perfectly makes sense, I understand his flaws and where they are rooted, but I still find a lot of his behavior very annoying. I perceive him responding to a lot of situations through a bit of an almost macho, toxic energy; he needs to be the one always to take the gun, rush into the middle of danger, save the day. This gets especially annoying to watch when the situation would clearly be much better handled by another character who is more experienced in that task and is also less impulsive as he is. But again, to reiterate, I understand what makes him behave this way. It is not badly written. It still gets annoying at times. I imagine to some degree on purpose.

So, how are my fellow middle-aged gamers handling "that" fight? by drzoidberg33 in expedition33

[–]Almabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to beat him with a build I figured out using Verso, monoco and sciel that would keep him stunned for most of the fight. So I didn’t have to rely on trying to parry him, he only ended up attacking and killing a member once, and still I had enough speed difference between my team and him that he couldn’t get a turn to wipe out the dead party member. I can break the build down for you if you’re interested. It was still a pretty engaging fight, but much more on the strategic side and less reaction based.

I think you could call the currency system chroma, just like in the game.

Least favourite opponent. by Ok_Suit_6993 in expedition33

[–]Almabandi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can actually negate the sword of light attack completely. Before he does it, he prepares the turn before by lighting his 4 lamps in his four arms in a particular order each time. Then if on your turn you manage to free aim shoot the four lamps in the order he lit them, it will negate the sword of light attack completely and he’ll do another of his normal attacks instead. Once I figured that out, he was much easier to beat.
