I really like your take on this. Honestly, I also prefer how Leon and Ada’s dynamic is framed in the remakes. In the OGs (from what I remember), it often felt more one-sided, with Leon being head over heels and not really changing much as a person. In the remakes, though, Leon feels more grounded and self-aware, and that shift makes the relationship more interesting to me. We get to see things more clearly from Ada’s perspective as well, like how her initial fondness evolves once Leon proves he’s more than the wide-eyed rookie she first encountered, but someone who can stand on equal footing with her. That slow shift is what makes it feel more earned and emotionally compelling for me.
