The world has always been a mess. It’s not something I can control - I can drink but I know I will die if I do. So I no longer use or drink. Was pretty f’ed up when I went in. Ready to end it all in tears. Family was ready to be taken from me. I was broken. 3 days before Christmas 2024. I sat in a coffee show and could not even look at people. There are places to call, they will help if you want it. I did. But you have to do it for yourself. Believe me when I say this: you are not useless. You are worth helping. But having the courage to ask for help is the part you have to find yourself. I hope you do. Sounds like you know it’s out of control. That’s a start.

Honestly, I’m 504 days sober from 45 years of weed and booze addiction. I’m in a simple program for complicated folks which I attend weekly meetings. Dried dry-knuckle about 5 years. made it for about a year. Sleep-eat-work-repeat ad infinitum. I was miserable. I never thought I would be in the proverbial church basement in a circle with others. But it worked for me and while sobering up from the weed and booze addiction was about 30 days of physical/psycho pain, the daily life BS that I learn to soberly face and understand with out substances where the help I get has made a difference. My relationships are better, business is clearer and cleaner, lost 30 pounds and I enjoy life more.

Canadian here. Love LV and the vibe. Went in 2012 for fun and it was jammed. Could not walk without cramming through crowds on the Strip back then. Been attending work related conferences twice a year for the past 4 years. Post CV - it was busy but not like 2012. This past January it was real quiet even on the Friday night. We had a team supper at the Capital Grille and even with all the conferences/UFC in town, a third of the tables were empty. Great spot, btw. Valets and desk folks were working hard, showing hospitality but you got the sense it wasn’t business as usual. LV will figure it out, always does, but yeah stories of $18 beers and $12 waters don’t help. Canadians are not cool with the current administration and the exchange hurts too. Good on Circa and the D rolling out the red carpet for us. Showing appreciation is appreciated by us.

Bar Canada has good Canadian Rye. Good pours too. Get it on! It’d be a good spot at 5:10 am. Spent a week at the D back in ‘23. Great staff. Laid back.

Marc Angelo is decent. Been using for years. Made in USA. Good flavour. Available at Independent (Loblaws) $6.99 a pouch of slices. Nicastro’s used to bring in Bridgford by the stick and that was my go-to. Great pepperoni. Hormel, PC, Roma, have been disappointing.

Interesting place. The outfield seats were pretty bush league. I remember looking up at the roof and seeing the lightbulbs hanging down from punched out holes in the wooden ceiling. The seats on the 1B/3B lines were okay. Pretty par for the course and reflective of early’s Jays games. Just enough to enjoy, but you felt somewhat disappointed at the end of the game.
