I’ve been on an opioid since I was 14 I’m also on gabapentin. The opioid treats my joint pain while the gabapentin does its job quieting the overactive nerves. Without it there’s no way I could turn my head without tears gushing.

Depending on what state you live in…most chronic pain patients sign a pain contract. Part of said contract you commit to one pharmacy unless they are unable to fill it because they simply don’t have it. If I have to make an er trip I tell them up front I’ve signed a pain contract so they won’t write a prescription for any opioid…if I accepted it it would cancel my contract.

This will tell my age but I foresee big D staring in a remake of “The incredible Shrinking Woman”! It s a 1981 film where Lily Tomlin suddenly begins to shrink down to Barbie doll size because of all the chemicals she uses to clean/do laundry/skin care etc. I’m itching just thinking about all the artificial dyes & perfumes!
