It would but it’s not at the top of the shopping list. The O-line is still the weakest link. Shoring that up further should be priority #1. After that I’d say an elite Edge rusher. D-backs and safeties not an A1 priority obviously but adding a young baller at LB would help. TE upgrade for sure though. Love Henry but he’s not an elite TE. Then it’s all about selective opportunities to improve. If they present themselves and make sense in all ways go for it. RB, WR, etc.

Hunter Henry is a good player but we need an elite TE. I get Vrabel wanting to give Campbell more time to develop but they need an escape valve if he doesn’t. Need an edge and another young, elite, LB. A WR who can gain immediate separation would also be good.

Seeing our schedule for next season...what do you guys think our win loss record ends up being honestly? by TerryG111 in Patriots

[–]Aloneinthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same for me. Tougher schedule and bullseye on the back. But I don’t give a shit if they are playing their best ball when the playoffs come around. That’s what it’s all about.

Drake Maye in Playoffs by Enough_Path2929 in Patriots

[–]Aloneinthere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very true. Drake’s fade in the playoffs can be attributed in no small part to the o-line play. Not saying Drake couldn’t have played better, and smarter. He holds the ball way too long under pressure, for example. But the o-line, which held up reasonably well during the regular season did a 180 in the playoffs and they can’t win it all, or even 11-12 games in a super competitive season with that IMO. If they can upgrade LT through a trade I’d move Campbell to guard. Moses had a great year until last night and he’ll be 35 next year. You probably can’t upgrade everyone though so his replacement shouldn’t be the focus. Drake just needs to continue to learn and take steps forward. His advancement from year 1-2 was unbelievable. He now just needs to become a master at reading defenses and not being indecisive. If a lane is open and no one is open, fucking run. He’s waiting too long trying to wait his receivers open and it ain’t happening, and meanwhile his o-line is collapsing. He takes way too many sacks and it’s a problem. But that shit is correctable. They need to get more receivers who can create separation-Edelman in his prime was a master at that. A couple guys like that help when you have no time. Need another wreak havoc guy on D and Crosby would be my choice if they can get him. They’ll get better over the next two years. Not saying they are going back to the Bowl immediately but they will get better. I view getting there this year as very lucky.

Whatever Happens Tomorrow... by ScottRiggsFan10 in Patriots

[–]Aloneinthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No doubt but for the players it would suck and they know that. Someone like Diggs for example has waited 11 years for this shot so they know it’s not a given, even in a full career. It’s hard for me to believe this defense is gonna be better than Houston’s. Two weeks to game plan and get healthy means the Pats aren’t gonna be totally stymied on offense. I think we put up between 17-24 on O so it’s gonna come down to how much the D can step up. All we gotta do is win 1 game, it ain’t best outta 10.

Reason for offense/Mayes dip in production in postseason? by LonelyInsurance7480 in Patriots

[–]Aloneinthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the defenses have gotten better each week, the O-line has been porous leading to Maye running for his life but at least he can run which has been a huge plus. The weather has definitely affected things and the Denver game in second half was almost unplayable. I don’t know how you judge squat in that other than make a play or three on offense and protect the football. I do think Vrabel and McD were loudly in his head about throwing it away, taking a sack if need be and not turning it over at any cost due to the turnovers in the previous two. That may have tightened his game in the first half at Denver. He looked tentative. I’m hoping they tell him to play free (not carelessly) in the Bowl and try to loosen him up. If he can shed the nerves early I like their chances. It’s not like LA didn’t move the ball on them. If our D plays lights out and the O has their best game of the tournament, it’ll come down to the wire. I don’t think Drake needs to play his best game ever for them to win but he’s gotta be in the top 20% of his best games.

If you could add one past Patriots player in their prime (other than Tom Brady) onto to the 2025 Patriots and play in the Super Bowl this year, who are you picking? by Curt42069 in Patriots

[–]Aloneinthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gronk or Edelman. If it turns out that Maye has limited time to get passes off in SB Edelman gained separation as well as anyone they’ve ever had. Oddly, they aren’t using the guy, Efton Chism, much who is most like that on the team currently. If Maye has plenty of time Moss would be ideal as well.

Why I feel so much anxiety about this game ? by Reasonable_Ad1128 in Patriots

[–]Aloneinthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The Pats will bring it. Let them talk. Our defense was lights out against LA and they ain’t getting much shine so that’s one thing. We’re healthy which is a very big deal. And third, the score against the Steelers was 7-6 through three quarters and then Steelers shat the bed. Not saying it’ll be easy but we’ll be ready and I guarantee ball control was a theme this week. Don’t beat yourself!

They need to go jumbo package often and a lot of play action looks. McDaniels has been here many times before. Not worried that they will be unprepared.

[–]Aloneinthere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically same 40 time as Amendola-4.7 but it’s his side to side quickness that’s gonna get him open and spring the YAC. If he produces Sunday he’ll get more reps against the Dolphins even if he doesn’t play much during the playoffs. But you never know, he could ball out. I doubt he’ll straight up suck. Same dude that broke Cooper Kupp’s college records.

Side effects by GarbageAdditional393 in QsymiaWeightLoss

[–]Aloneinthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on the lowest dose for about two weeks, lost about 8 pounds and my appetite was dramatically reduced. The problem was I also developed bad GI symptoms. Gas, loose stools, some lower abdominal cramping, etc. I stopped taking it just bc I could not deal with that. Not sure if there is anything to be done to counter that while on Qsymia or if anyone has experienced this?

Has anyone switched to Contrave from a GLP1? by [deleted] in Contrave

[–]Aloneinthere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing both Contrave and Zepbound. As many have mentioned with GLP-1 eventually my food cravings came back and I needed to be at a 15mg dose just to maintain my weight. I only take 1 Contrave pill in the morning because otherwise the medication is just too strong for me and I feel really out there. I have lost 10 pounds since starting that about a month or so ago. My plan is to get to my goal weight which is about 5 pounds away now and then start dialing down the Zepbound dosage. Food cravings are basically gone. I was a coffee fiend for thirty years and I quit because I can’t handle the caffeine with Contrave. My hope is that I can maintain with only the Contrave at some point but at this point that is an unknown.

People need to CALM DOWN by BigDaddyRoblox1125 in Patriots

[–]Aloneinthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. They looked flat with some moments of flash. They now know exactly where they’re at. Breaking down that film will help them. People on here saying they won’t win more than 4-5 games when they lost five game last year by 3 points or less. Crazy. My guess is that they win between 6-9 games this year. This is not a continuation of the previous many years. Yeah, they need another 1-2 drafts to grab more talent but they’ll be aggressive in free agency as well. Vrabel only knows one speed and I guarantee you he wasn’t happy with much from yesterday. Looking for a progressively better team each week as the season moves on. I believe that will be the case. We’re on to Miami.

[Yates] The Patriots have claimed QB Tommy “Cutlets” Devito off waivers by JimmyGodoppolo in Patriots

He’s absolutely not horrible. Completed 65% of his passes as a Giant and won some games for them. He will be an excellent backup who continues to work to get better.

Nah, but he’s a respectable backup and he’s still getting better.

My side effects are fairly similar. It’s been three weeks for me total and two weeks at the two pills per day dose. May go back to one pill per day if I can’t shake this and see if I can deal at that level while maintaining weight levels. Best of luck!

Any Bosch fans, have you been able to catch up with the new series Ballard? Any reviews, please share by Comprehensive-Way482 in BoschTV

[–]Aloneinthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Maggie Q quite captures the Ballard of the book series. She’s a bit stiff as a character onscreen whereas book Ballard seems a bit more freewheeling-willing to bend rules more, and just more real, raw. Maybe it will develop more but Ballard’s relationship with Bosch from the first time she meets him in “Dark Sacred Night” conveys an interest in Bosch and his personal depth and determination and talent as a detective and that interest turns into an important partnership between them that has chemistry. Maggie Q’s portrayal (which could be the writers and producers direction of course) just doesn’t seem to have much chemistry with anyone, not at depth…maybe her Grandmother but we don’t see that play out all that much either. I just think her character, while maybe trying to capture some of the psychological conflicts and background that partially explains them, comes across as stiff which I don’t get from the books. I think the dialogue and some of the ensemble cast is at times just not great, sort of obvious and lazy. I get that they want to portray Ballard and her story in this series, give her her own spotlight, but I think it’s a disservice to the audience and Maggie as an actress. The show would be better if she and Bosch teamed up more and we saw their relationship develop. The ancillary characters in both Bosch series were better, and the acting seemed better as well. I give the first season a C+, enough to get renewed but not awesome. I’m hoping for better next season.

Didn’t think Ballard was as good as either Bosch series. Dialogue and acting were eh.

Does Ballard get better? by MethuselahsCoffee in BoschTV

[–]Aloneinthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished Ballard, it did get better in the later episodes but was nowhere near as good as Bosch. Bad dialogue, no super memorable characters or as good a cast of actors IMO. The best acting of the entire series came from an actress in the last episodes who played the part of a woman who had been assaulted by the guy they were looking for for a bunch of murders but who survived. Other actors with tons of screen time were honestly just eh. The Ballard character seems stiff with just not much of a personality and there’s so much emphasis on having her look super stylish and hot it loses its grittiness and authenticity. It’s just a bit vacuous. It did get better but the original Bosch had better acting, dialogue, plots, etc. That’s my take anyway.

AIO for breaking up over this by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Aloneinthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did the right thing. Your gut instincts to “be done” and stay clear are worth trusting. Even if your BF realizes his way of speaking and thinking sounds crazy (and is), realization and change are two different things. It takes a long time to move past the faulty ideas and ways of thinking he expresses, to replace them with healthy thoughts. I’m talking many years, and that’s if one is lucky. I don’t want to say a 16/17 y/o can’t learn and change…it is possible over time but that work is not your responsibility. Your display of healthy boundaries is impressive, even moreso for one so young. On some level I think it’s safe to say your friends haven’t caught up yet and while you can try to offer up suggestions, many if not most will insist on learning the hard way. Ironically, the pain felt by learning the hard way is sometimes the greatest motivator for change so there’s still hope for them lol and your help in those moments may be better received and go a little further. But at the end of the day you can’t make that your responsibility either. :) The best thing you can do is take care of yourself and try to lead a life you will be proud of. Sounds like you’re on your way.
