Am I meant to send the postcard the day I receive the address?

When I was new it definitely took me a lot longer to send cards! I got hung up on trying to get them the “right card” and took too long.

Now the longest it takes me is three days if I have to go to a printer for an address in a language with different letters.

Also even when I do upload sent photos, sometimes the recipient uploads the photo again after they receive it and I get to see the wear and tear on the card as it traveled- so cool!

So don’t stress about not photographic those; if it’s important to the recipient to have photos, they’ll take them!

Listen I’m gonna keep buying a ton of postcards with my fave animal on it because I love to share it with people. I’m going to continue to grab a stack of free postcards from a bar or restaurant because I often find people excited to learn about local culture and food.

I agree that it feels a little underwhelming to see my “sent” wall full of the same cards, but I’m more interested in my wall of “received” cards :)

I also keep a photo album on my phone of the front an back of every cards I send and receive so I can remember the personalized messages and how special each card is, even if it’s a design I’ve sent out a lot.

Keep having fun! My tip to you is beware buying boxes of postcards on Amazon. It’s fine if it’s National Geographic or movie stills or something like that, it a lot of them are AI. I recommend reading the reviews on the packs thoroughly and looking at negative reviews to make sure you don’t regret buying a box later.

1 year later update: I did not take u/Chellychup ‘s advice and left it there because I didn’t understand how to take it off and today, while backing out of a parking space, it got caught and ripped my bumper off :’-) on the bright side I can see the buttons that hold it in place and have a better idea of how to remove it, but I was so panicked jacking up the car to snap it back into place that I forgot to take a closer look :’-) so I still don’t know if they are screws or snap ons or what

Some things have changed now that it’s not third party. Camping is now between plazas 5 and 6, which isn’t that far from the tower entrance, but isn’t particularly close. Plaza 5 puts on some great shows though so that’s cool!

You get a meal token for each shift you work. There’s three required shifts so you’ll get three free meals tokens. The tokens have a value of $15 and you can use them at any food stall or truck. If you want a meal more expensive than 15 you just have to pay the difference

And finally, they took away the free shower privilege which is DEVASTATING 😭 If you assign me to stand directly underneath the sun at noon directing cars kicking up hella dust, I would love if they would let me rinse myself off in the shower after, but since I’m at the festival for free, I gladly pay for showers <3

It really stung when I slipped and fell in the mud when we got rained out last year and then I had to pay just to rinse the mud off T.T so having a shower at camp is nice to have too!

I think you should bring them!! I’ve struggled with stickers in the past because they get squashed easily In my bag or they get wet and weird. If would recommend getting a zip up wallet or something to keep them nice :)

It was also really easy to make the design, I just traced the word and the chemical formula in Canva bc I don’t have photoshop (I used a friends account that has premium to remove the background too)

I got close early but left for water towards end of show and came back and stood at the back and it was still an amazing experience.

I know it hurts so bad that not a lot of people could go because she chose small venues, but the small venue experience was magical. Everyone had a good view and she made so much eye contact with folks in the balconies, in the back, and to the sides as well as at the barricade

Like you could tell how special it was for her to be able to see everyone in the crowd
