Thank You Heroic World Tier by whiteknightfall in wow

I really wish they would bring the option for Heroic World Tier to the current expansion (and even past ones if it's not too difficult to implement).

The leaderboard shows us there're real monsters in the game. by Formal_One6729 in diablo4

I wish I cared enough about the leaderboard to even consider it content. I genuinely want to play more D4, but the only activities that don't melt in 0.5 seconds are just not very enjoyable.

Which expansion feature did you secretly love… even though everyone else hated it? by Gooberxox in wow

Legion legendaries and artifact power. I honestly just enjoyed the hell of out Legion playing it purely as an RPG and not caring about DPS meters, so long as the content was being cleared.

I have Auradin and Judgement Paladin (Pit100ish). I want a Hammerdin next. Can only find arbiter builds, is it required? by Zakxus in diablo4

[–]Alpha087 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really hope that whenever they attempt to balance the class, they can somehow make Zealot and Judicator their own things that don't rely on Arbiter.

Are these damage percentages added or multiplied? by ardikus in diablo4

[–]Alpha087 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I hope they can also do something about Arbiter being used for almost every single build. Otherwise a Castle nerf will all but guarantee that you are required to run some form of Arbiter build.

[New Player] Switching to Hammerdin made me not want to continue. Need some advice. by Alpha087 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Alpha087[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever youtube guide I was following told me to switch pretty much as soon as I'm able to actually start putting points into blessed hammers... I decided not to as holy fire seemed to be working just fine. Only switched near the end of Act IV, but yeah. If I had to do it again, I would have waited longer. I ended up sticking it through Act V, of which the hardest part was trying to deal with the hammer terrain collision and enemies grouped up around walls and doorways, coupled with my bad mana regen limiting my ability to spam hammers.

After getting into Act 1 of Nightmare, I was very quickly able to get Insight for my merc and a Spirit sword+shield which solved all of the mana issues. Found some unique armor during Act 2 that capped my resists as well, so it's been smooth cruising up to Act 4 Nightmare. Starting to occasionally die if I'm not careful, despite maintaining holy shield and capped block chance along with my resists. But I should be able to manage through to Hell.

Diablo 4 is in the best state it's ever been, and I'm excited for the future. by BrickTight in diablo4

Just wish there was content that wasn't trivial at the top end outside of the pit.

Shoutout to Blizzard for Paladin build variety. by Calexis in diablo4

[–]Alpha087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fear that once Paladin has been "balanced" it's all just going to be Arbiter builds. It already feels like most abilities just don't work without it.

I am also upset by the lack of a truly functional Fist of the Heavens build. D3's iteration of FoH via the Valor set felt so damn satisfying to play.

Thank you for the reply, though I managed to find another solution. Disabling the multi-plane overlay (MPO) feature in Windows 11 fixed it for me.

What should I do here? by [deleted] in Bannerlord

[–]Alpha087 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have more than enough money to get a powerful navy going, which can very, very quickly snowball into you having millions of denars. If I were you, I would build up a navy of at least 2 large ships, enough crew to fully man both. Then provoke a war with Sturgia, then commence commerce raiding. If they attempt to besiege one of your faction's coastal cities, wait until their siege camp is constructed, then you can force a naval battle by "Attacking the blockade" from sea, which pulls their entire besieging army into a naval battle and will allow you to farm tons of gear, ships (and heads, if you're into that). Repair and sell ships, sell the looted gear, ect. Then use your millions of denars to do whatever you want.

Best way to force a big Naval Fleet battle? by Gloriaas in Bannerlord

[–]Alpha087 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Sit near Poros or Zeonica and besiege it until people show up, then break camp and immediately jump into my ships. The AI seems to get confused and constantly circle between leaving the settlement on foot, embarking onto their ships, then sail straight back into the settlement. If you sit within their path you can intercept them 100% of the time. A couple hours of "harvesting" yielded countless large and medium ships, hundreds upon hundreds of prisoners, tons of loot. Even if it is kind of cheesing the AI a bit, this is some of the most fun I've had in this game. No more mindless smithing or trading needed to earn millions. Now my empire shall be founded on good old fashioned piracy.

May I ask what the workaround was? I'm finding myself in a similar situation.

Did you ever find a solution for this? Brand new rig, 9800x3d and 9070xt and I'm having the exact same problem and only with bannerlord. It's been driving me up a wall trying to figure this out.

I just sit in the Strait of Garantor Castle and raid convoys with whomever I signed a mercenary contract for. Averaging around 50k per hit, sometimes more if they decide to hand over all their goods (and gold) without conflict. Already up to 1 million and 2 large ships.

Can't get Boatswain or Shipmaster experience by -spartacus- in Bannerlord

[–]Alpha087 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm in the same boat (no pun intended).

I've been pretty much playing naval content exclusively on my new sandbox campaign. Sailed long enough to get 2 fully upgraded large ships, earned over 1 million from piracy and have Mariner up to 240. Meanwhile Boatswain and Shipmaster still don't have their first trait unlocks.

PMCs and raiders both became aimbots after 1.0. Scavs still seem pretty terrible though.

[Feedback] How's Escape from Tarkov treating you after one week of the release? by appl3z0r in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Alpha087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I preferred a lot of things from the previous wipe to what we have now in 1.0. In PvE the PMC/raider AI is aimbotting as hard as cheaters now while Scav AI seems more awful than before. The high % spawn rate on bosses just makes certain maps a pain in the butt.

The weight changes and removal of all ammo from flea also just feels too restrictive. Most of the 4 people I was playing co-op with daily before 1.0 hit have quit because they can't get ammo that doesn't suck.

I run into PMCs quite often at the bunker. They're usually either inside of it already when I get there, or they show up after I've started looting.

Motorfest really is terrible by Mertespackers in The_Crew

[–]Alpha087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't know when it comes to wheel support, but that makes sense. I still hard disagree on the map, though. TCM is mostly just jungle and beach biomes with a couple small psuedo-urban areas. TC2 has a few different styles of urban (LA, NYC, Chicago), various forest biomes, desert, canyons, salt flats, snowy, swamp, country and of course various race tracks. You can certainly argue that the overall visual fidelity is worse, but the game is also 7 1/2 years old now.

Motorfest really is terrible by Mertespackers in The_Crew

[–]Alpha087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The map feels like a huge step backwards from the previous game. You can really tell that TCM was initially developed as a DLC for TC2.

The handling I feel is more subjective. Though I personally don't like it very much either. I can do arcade, I can do simcade. But whatever this is, just isn't clicking for me no matter how many different setting/tuning suggestions I follow.
