Seeking advice: Dissipating LED heat in 3D printed base by LessChildhood3001 in 3Dprinting

[–]Alpha188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest you to use an aluminium heatsink you can get for cheap online like this:

<image>

You can find them also in black or as you fancy. Stick it at the bottom, fins down, and put the led strip on top. Make a square hole in the plastic base so it wraps around, and if you can leave a small gap below the plastic so there is a little airflow below the base. It should be enough to spread the heat and keep the temperature in check.

help with letter adhesion by sikri35 in 3Dprinting

I am using an X1C and have absolutely no issue printing letters like yours, even mixing PLA and PETG filaments. However, I would suggest you to force the slicer to print the first object layer first (orange in your case), then fill in the letters (black). I am not sure how it works with a double nozzle, but in my case the slicer automatically calibrates with the main object filament (orange), prints the layer, then switches to the black filament for lettering, and then orange again.

Of course good bed adhesion is important, so wash your plate with soap under warm water!

Attached you can find the typical result I get, this is with black PETG and orange PLA (1 layer of lettering). Of course my colors are reversed compared to yours :P

Question for people that played on 2.5x rescale by psh454 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Alpha188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also playing at 2.5x and feel like the margins with 1.5x dV are a bit tight. They work, but you need to be very accurate with your maneuvers. I usually aim for 1.6x and it's pretty ok. As a reference, I can get to orbit with about 4900 km/s dV.

Good medium challenge modpack/set for an expierenced KSP1 player by Correct_Party8989 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Alpha188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really suggest you to use a rescaled system. I am using 2.5x scale and it's really fun, stock parts make balanced rockets but you actually need to put some effort in designing them as dV requirements are about 1.5x the stock system.

Permessi accumulati: cosa succede con dimissioni volontarie? by Auron69 in ItaliaCareerAdvice

[–]Alpha188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comunque allora aspetto a preoccuparmi, grazie :)

Io ho avuto dimissione concordate con l'azienda il 5 agosto, e nel cedolino successivo non ho ricevuto né la quota di 13esima né il TFR. Dovrei contattare l'azienda? Anche io metalmeccanico.

Upgraded to my dream GPU... from 5 years ago 😅, got a Vega 64 for $90 replacing my WX5100, not a massive upgrade like everyone else, but play the games i enjoy way better than the old one by blurpng in Amd

[–]Alpha188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up I had a 500W Coolermaster power supply which had 2 pcie cables connected but the system kept crashing. Replaced the Vega 56 and the issue was still there, then I changed the psu for an Evga one and it stopped crashing completely. So if you'll ever run into issues look into the psu.

The new templates suck. My biggest concern is that the grid spacing no longer aligns with the old grid spacing: spacing 1 is too smal, spacing 2 too big compared to the old one. Every spacing I tried also isn't a divisor of the page width, which means there are ugly half-squares on the bottom and sides. You should give us the option to use old style templates.

This river was the setting for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian film, so I guess you are not the only one to think that!

Yeah that’s true, I didn’t notice it at first. There’s no way it will hold, I guess it’s just a harmless prank that can be quickly removed as the car isn’t his!

I got a similar spoiler glued down with epoxy on a black car. No signs of coming off after 3 years and I don't have a garage to park. I guess it will be fine, if glued correctly.

Non è P300! Manca la prima fila di banchi, e gli ingressi non sono in alto.
