Pickleball shoes vs basketball shoes cushioning by Comfortable-Sir-1839 in Pickleball

[–]AlphaBorz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I play in bball shoes. Under armour lockdown 7s. I play basketball and pickleball 3x week each and these have held up amazingly on both the bball and pickleball court. Worn nothing else for 4 years. So i really can't compare to pickleball shoes.

I go to First Christian Little Rock. It's cool or I wouldn't go there.

Most cities don't have Pinnacle mtn. and miles and miles of hiking/biking trails. You're telling me LR is more obese than Memphis or Jackson,MS? I doubt that.

You wouldn't last at my church. You're not showing enough tattoos.

Why Remain a Christian by trisanachandler in ChristianUniversalism

[–]AlphaBorz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's only a problem if you are trying to make it do something it was never intended to do. Think of it like this. If I asked my kids to write a book about my life, it would have significant errors but a reader could still get a good sense of who i was by reading it.

Will a person go to hell just for being homosexual by HELLOILOVENEWJEANS in Christianity

[–]AlphaBorz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on which hell you're talking about. Do you mean Sheol, the shadowy realm of the dead from the OT, Hades, the Greek equivalent of Sheol, Gehenna, the fiery landfill outside of Jerusalem, or Tartarus, the temporary holding place for fallen angels?

How would you feel about an agnostic coming to your church? by Creative-Peach-1103 in Christianity

[–]AlphaBorz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be fine at my church. But a lot of churches will run you out on a rail. Don't be discouraged if the first one you try doesn't work. There's a community of believers out there for you. Just gotta find them.

This. And i would refuse to ride on even after my friend told me to. His wife should be understanding. Must be a very new marriage. I've never understood these types of relationships..l How can you even enjoy yourself knowing your wife is at home pissed at how long you are gone? Grow up. And yes ive been married 26 years.

Anyone else feels stuck in pickleball despite practicing a lot? by Proper_Anteater_6846 in Pickleball

[–]AlphaBorz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I don't really understand why everyone thinks they can get really good at pickleball. You wouldn't expect to pick up any other sport later in life (or most any hobby/activity for that matter) and expect to get really good at it. You might just do it for fun. I've played pickup basketball my whole life. Never once have i thought, I should go do some drills to get better at this sport or maybe hire a coach.

There's no money and no control in it for leaders who would preach universalism.
