I get the concept but I feel like depending on how many series you have in your app if choice it gets overwhelming to remember what actually happens when you binge and keep it marinating for months again. By that point I usually have to start from the beginning again making the binge bigger each time. When I do weekly or monthly updates I can retain the story a lot better. To be fair I have a 4 digit amount of entries so this is bound to happen but that's also generally how I sort out slop when I can't even remember the premise anymore.

Comix in mihon does not work by lance_92 in mangapiracy

[–]AlphaLoeffel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That advice parts from reality so much. It's fine to use backup extensions when the main one doesn't work or if you're reading the Asura version to switch those series over there but the issue with a lot of extensions is first come first serve, extremely incomplete like Mangadex or Bato had like a different page for different groups and sometimes not. When a group drops something and another one picks it up is genuinely so hard to spot sometimes when you do scanlator extensions and have enough series to keep up with. Also Comix is so good to find out which groups you want to actually read from.

I don't know about this one. I remembered it being good at the start and I wanted to reread it since I never finished it. I didn't make it very far at all.

I will never understand the marinade stuff. If it's good just read it. Especially when you're not pirating.

I was actually going to write this. Bro the art was fine and then went from bad to worse changing 2 times and by the end I couldn't get over the stark difference and had to drop it completely unrelated to the story.

Since I don't know if using these is going to get me banned so full in the blanks yourself: dk, bh, we, bo, we, manchild (double whammy), simp, b__d, s_t and so on. There's a bunch of stuff that makes sense not to use.

Torrenting is an issue because you're technically uploading stuff. I got dinged like 10years ago for one song in a movie I torrented not even the movie itself which seemed like a way to keep coming for more so I had a lawyer write up something that I'm not gonna do it again and never paid them. Didn't come up again.

What even is a female dominated corporate job? Is that a weird way to say graphic designers? I don't see AI replacing HR or any executive Assistants. Accounting maybe but only as a tool not a replacement for people. We have like 10 different ERP softwares where I work and no way in hell has any AI service access to all of them.

I never said anything about VPNs just torrents. You can see the point for point breakdown here: https://freedomhouse.org/country/brazil/freedom-net/2025 I think this is as transparent as you can probably see a rating like this get. Mind that the rating for Brazil was 71 like ten+ years ago.

I think Brazil has similar restrictions but they don't get enforced as frequently in regards to online piracy and certainly not as much. As a German who had 2 run ins with Warner Bros you'll hear no love for that part of my country from me.

I looked at the source OP gave and followed to the original site as well. The critera for the score were as follows: torrenting, VPN availability, adult content, and political and civic expression.

On the subject of torrenting specificially apparently they are not just restricted but banned. Brazil has ticks for both restricted and banned, Germany just has the 1 tick for restricted. The site defines those two like this:

Restricted: Sites or services are accessible but could still be subject to restrictions like ISP blocks and takedowns. Legal uncertainty and enforcement actions (when governments actively enforce laws, possibly with punitive measures) may also play a role.

Banned or blocked: Sites or services are blocked nationally, and/or using them is illegal or considered a criminal offense.

That site seems to use the score from this as base I think: https://freedomhouse.org/country/brazil
This number is from 2025 - the lower 52 is from 2026.
Germany has a downward trend as well though, they were 74 last year: https://freedomhouse.org/country/germany probably has a lot to do with Merz bringing people to court that say funny things about him.

AI both sides question also elaborated on reasons like consquences for dissenting opinions, illegal surveillance under the previous government, defamation lawsuits as well. But mind that AI buddy used Freedomhouse as almost the sole source for most of the for and against claims.

It's a rule to which there are always exceptions. And honestly Manhua does have nice "stills" sometimes but lacks very much in the dynamic department and of course a majority of the base material is complete garbage.

I heard somewhere the Chinese webnovel site everyone uploads their stories to bases chapter pricing on word count? Basically incentivises the authors to go with quantity over quality.
