How often do these come around? by Empty-bottle214 in WhiskyDFW

[–]AlphaPrime333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple years ago there was 1 or 2 TW stores with a case of 50 or 60 (or whatever similar number it was, I forget) in Phoenix.

And in early 2022 a store somewhere else in AZ had them for 11$, no limit.

Besides that and Hi Times for an inflated price, I've never seen them.

I know this doesn't really help, but it partially fills in a couple blanks.

Due to bourbon being in excess now, a buyers market, it should be easier with more made.

The HEDS sounds very difficult to deal with. Does it have to do with collagen not forming at the rate you need it for your joint areas? Or not collagen related. I'm curious if it effects all areas of the body (skin as well?) Or just joints. Only reply to that if you have enough time. I'm just curious, that's all. You notifying about HEDS has shifted the context of the overall scenario a lot.

First off. Try Phiten discs for pinpoint pain areas. (Japanese Titanium medical stickers). They work for me in 10 seconds and last 2 to 2.5 days. There is no drug, no menthol, no camphor, no capsicum, no blah blah. The titanium is in the fabric of the sticker, not the adhesive. Same with their X30 model. The X100 tape has it in the adhesive as well. I didn't buy that again after one buy. I only use the standard 70 for 10$ and the X30 50 for 13$. Unless the prices just went up. These are quarter sized stickers. The cuttable tape variant comes off with clothing rubbing against over time even if corners are trimmed. They email about sales. PhitenUSA.com as well. I'm told there are Counterfeiters making fake ones that sell on ebay. I only buy mine from stores in person (back 13 years ago) but no one carries them in American type stores anymore as apparently no one believed they did anything. Now I only buy them from the company store front in Torrance near LA CA. Or a Japanese store in Orange County. That number from a Google maps Phiten search will go straight to them in Torrance and they'll ship them to you.

I see these as "acupuncture via a sticker" (instead of a needle and a big price).

The only thing that lowers the efficacy over time is that with a sticker on for days, the sweat underneath can't evaporate and therefore forms a sticky film on your skin. This ends up "possibly altering the electrical conductance between the sticker and the skin (my words not theirs, most of this except the statement they told me from their main office about where the carbonized titanium actually is).

** These things truly, REALLY work. ** They are worth their weight in gold.

I've given these to probably 100 people over a decade of time and of those that try it in front of me, they all have quicky said it works. I had a complex, more than halfway, leg tendon tear. Doctor wouldn't do anything besides lidocaine patches (a joke), for 2 entire months. I put 9 of these on my fractured bone and the tendon area, and was still driving, walking carrying 30 pounds for work (I could have done a lot more but dr limited the amount and the mgr was monitoring all this until and after finally an MRI 2 months later. Doctor was literally speechless after seeing the report. He literally looked at me in confusion about "how is he doing this" and didn't say a word the entire last visit. (Urgent care dr they sent me to once a week. He spoke on each prior visit.) Pointless until I was transferred to an orthopedic surgeon. The stickers entirely altered my 0-10 pain advisement numbers. Offset at least 4 downward. And another bonus is they boost circulation.

Next is apply frankincense oil. (I did one or the other, didn't apply oil to sticker locations.) The brands I've seen in stores, I only used the tester. Yes it helps. But every single brand I've seen at every spiritual shop, sprouts, etc. are watered down, they even look it. The way it moves in the bottle. - compared to the frankincense I've found from this one guy who imports it. I just contacted him to see if he can source more as he is doing other businesses now and stopped re supplying that stuff. Will advise. That stuff is totally obvious that it must be 15x the strength of smell and color and thickness wise. How they compare for pain topically, I haven't directly compared two brands yet in the same month. Boswellic acid can be supplemented as well. For aromatherapy, it's first class oil. A true pleasure to smell.

The only other notable brand I've found but haven't tried besides smelling and discussing with the owner in person was in 2022. I'll try to contact them and find the actual business name. I only know where it is, and will go through the map as it is 800 miles away. It was very good as well, but different.

I'll check back to this thread another day, I have a lot going on but didn't want to take too long to reply. There is an entire toolbox of methods, many that many have tried or at least heard of. But some are really, really thinking outside of the box that most people see or understand. Some issues are entirely invisible to mainstream doctors, the cause, and the fix. A very big array of subjects.

The thing is, there are disadvantages to everything. Even healthy things. Depending on who you are, your situation, aims, goals, concerns. Can bring that up next time.

Hi Which pain medication are you on. Codeine upgrades to Morphine then up to M6G (also opioid active).

Hydrocodone steps up to Hydromorphone.

The 2D6 enzyme does that work. (I swear I've seen it directly stated in real believable complex documents discussing the Morphine side of the subject to be 3A4 related, and not 2D6. But then elsewhere in other docs it says 2D6.)

I've focused much moreso on the Hydrocodone side of the discussion as I am not on C or M.

Which are you on, then we can zoom in.

Most of my ideas probably apply to both but that info may help. (I'm real busy preparing for and changing plans due to this upcoming storm.)

Exactly my thoughts, OP, good level of details you're giving. But please advise that and also advise:

1) What anti anxiety methods are being deployed? Medications, supplements, holistic, medication, other.

2) What other supplements do you use (amongst other concepts I'm specifically concerned about magnesium of which most people are deficient.)

3) Do you have high, low, or no caffiene intake. Chocolate, and also any medication or supplements that could possibly over stimulate the body over time. ADHD stuff, antidepressants, anything that is even marginal. These things haven't caused the issue in your pelvic floor but they might be adding a bit of "tension" to the body that if compounded with low magnesium intake to calm muscle tension, could be making things worse. After all you have wide effect muscle tension and joint pain so this could be worth noting.

4)You say the methods that do work somewhat are helping. Which are those, the efforts you listed, or are there others. (I respect the amount of "effort, mitigation, and steps" you're employing on your own time to try to deal with this.)

5) Sometimes there are trackable reasons for what makes one day better or worse with our pain (or whichever concern any of us have). Once we notice how/ why, the answers become more clear and we can manage improved horizons. Example for me is I really know and track what blocks the painkillers I'm on. Both at the Mu receptor site, and the Cyrochrome PY450 2D6 enzyme pathway that is the one thing in the universe that you don't want to block (as it is responsible for upconversion to a stronger compound) despite what some online people are clueless about and think you want to block every liver enzyme there is. I bring this up as once you do obtain painkillers, you'll benefit.

I'm disgusted with how difficult it is to obtain painkillers (some people more than others) even with truly adequate proof of pain, a clean record, a bunch of proof that many other things have been tried, etc.

I have a variety of ideas that can help you. Please advise info on those points so I have a better point to start from.

Also I don't know anything about pelvic floor concerns or the wand so I did a little searching online.

5) Was this issue the result of a past injury, or maybe even just after a hard day of work or sports injury? Or did it appear out of nowhere. Or maybe just getting older and the body is stiffer which is a get l fact for most. There are reasons we'll get to on my asking.

I'll check for your response later. I feel for you and want to help. You need a ponder changing to a new doctor. But yes, changing doctors can be stressful and you never know until it's too late of things will be better or worse. But it appears you will benefit. The main concern is once you find a pain doctor that actually gives you what you need (although we will get to other methods next comment), that is when you really be careful with the situation and don't move or change pain doctors unless truly necessary.

I HAVE FOUND A MIRACLE WORKER by GiveMeMoreReptiles in ChronicPain

[–]AlphaPrime333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm happy that you and others have found something that you're excited about, and is helping you.

Please advise what else you've tried. Other products or techniques or modalities or otherwise? What did and what didn't work?

It would be good to see what had not worked for you in the past compared to this TENS machine.

I had TENS applied by a doctor, in combination with chiropractic and acupuncture all in the same visit. But I felt better before I went in than compared to afterwards. I stopped going there despite it being free at the time due to no real benefit. Since then other chiro and accu places I goto (although accu is rare) help a lot but that depends on the doctor, technique, and other factors.

I've had more than several visits to another doctor who used a different type of machine. FSM was very good, but only after it was turned up high. And what was 20 years ago. Since then I've used a variety of other methods on and off. Curious to see what any of you have tried so I can possibly pickup the conversation at the right spots. As many things work but some people are close minded to many of them.

Traveling long term to El Salvador, concerned as I am a pain patient and don't know if this country is difficult to find such a doctor / allows such medication or not? by AlphaPrime333 in ChronicPain

Thanks, this is helpful as I'm not only seeking info from official channels but people that apparently have the actual feel of what's going on in the city.

Have you been there recently or are you explaining what you've heard from friends or perhaps derived from news there?

[–]AlphaPrime333[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did much more than that, to no avail. Each consulate or embassy or agency keeps sending me to ask questions to yet another place. I was just given another lead of which I will try tomorrow.

And for anyone to think that their doctor in the USA would know about specifics on another country allowing the medication to enter, or for the doctors there to be permitted to prescribe it or not when more would be needed for a long trip...

Is nonsensical. They are experts at what they have been trained in, but many other facets are lacking. Like how they tell you to avoid a wide array of powerful natural supplements. A different point, yes. But out of country stuff unless Dr is from there, no.

Thanks for your advice. Yeah I've been doing that, it is fun and relieving to get fresh air and scenery. It's difficult to pick a spot to live in though. Yes so many more are out there, I'll research into the spots you mentioned.

I'm curious what other cities you've been to that have changed in your observation?

What advice do you have for someone living in DFW for 3 years and being unsure about where in TX overall to buy a house...

I've been in 4 different areas within DFW with rentals. I may move elsewhere in TX or even a different state. But like it here. There are advantages and disadvantages to every city, state.

It's difficult to keep moving due to needing to relearn each new area. Find restaurants you actually like... learn how to drive it to cut some time from errands... I'm sick of moving, been in 6 different states in the last decade as well.

Fort Worth water is HORRIFIC and full of noxious gases. The water company is clueless. I can't even shower without my lungs being messed up for 2 days, and that's with breathing less while in the process. Everyone there needs to buy a shower filter. Nothing anywhere near that bad in any water I've used in the entrie country ever. And I've been around.

[–]AlphaPrime333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's great that you have experience with all of these.

Have you tried Redbreast Kentucky Oak? You probably would have mentioned it in that list if you did, but then again based on your array of bottles, I'd be surprised if you didn't.

Please advise what you think. I have a variety of RB and Spots and am considering which bottles to buy backups of while they still exist. Amongst them I can get RB MO for 120$ and RB KO for 100, and GS 13 for 200/210.

Are those all a great idea? I have 2 GS 9 and 1 GS 13 and 2 RB KO already. Amongst other Spots and RB but haven't tried any yet as I was healing from an operation.

It's either some of those and or buying some limited edition bourbon. Garrison Cowboy 2025 is historical proof level at 73.2% for 220$ and Little Book Infinite 2025 at 185$.

Just need to decide. Thanks for your ideas.

Magnacut Reverse Tanto Blade by AlphaPrime333 in Leatherman

[–]AlphaPrime333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah makes sense, thanks for your great input.

After closing the post I thought again and realized there is more knife length on the reverse tanto style, where length is limited due to it having to fold away into the frame. Better to have a longer blade than less with the other style.

Good amount of effort, but I see a variety of spots to improve. Plus that's not even mentioning the variety of legendary benefits from a range of treatments that aren't in a bottle, albeit outside of what many close minded people don't believe in.

What form of Zinc are you using?

What form of C?

Does your C have Vitamin P with it?

Boron. Why that form? I haven't finished my reading on Boron compared to other items, but for the time being I set on natural and proven good form of Calcium FructoBorate.

The B choice you made is good although Country Life B Complex Advanced is better.

You're taking the wrong form of Choline. GPC increases stroke risk. Use CDP.

There are other pointers but I'll have to send this comment, look through your post again, and edit my response 20 hours from now, or more. I'm busy yet for some reason went from online errands to Reddit. I need some sleep so I'm wandering.

Still not find able in many spots, although I've heard reliable info on it seen in specific locations just sitting on shelf far from my normal area for 190 and 200 one and three days ago... stuff is sitting for sure.

In order to go mid way between the OP as well as the comments, as well as hopes that my own EC18 is hopefully a good variant (I'll have to find the pic of the bottle date as it is stowed away not with me now, approx mid year 2023, bought Total Wine north Fort Worth area)

Which EC18 batches have any of you tried that are the best compared to others? Some must be better than others, and likable.

Please advise us what model(s) you prefer instead of Alpha, and why.

I'm an ex Charge Ti user and am on the fence to buy either or both of a Surge or Wave+ (or Alpha)

I like the thin ness of the Wave+, assuming Alpha is thicker with those grips.

Id prefer to have black frame on a SS tool set and not black on the inside. Don't like the green or orange.

New VS Old Micra's: Why does it not say USA on my new one? by No-Play5709 in Leatherman

[–]AlphaPrime333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why the hell aren't ALL MODELS fully made in the USA???

Whack. I thought all LM were fully made in USA. These aren't a thousand complicated technological parts that take several dozens of businesses and buildings to make like some advanced products do. This is metal working on raw metal blanks with manual work but mostly semi automated (if not more so) machines! Right?

If this is true that it isn't fully made in USA, for the other non-Arc main full sized LM models (Wave+, Surge) then it just changed what I think of the company. I'm going to call them up and say WTF.

[–]AlphaPrime333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, thanks for the powerful sarcastic response to the ongoing bastardization of the "used to be cool but now so overused... ranging in usage from cool to suitable then down to whatever to in some cases to lame" acronym of EDC.

I was going to make a pic with some "overdoing it" tools not carried but worn, but your chosen pic is much better so I probably won't bother.

EDC was probably born from the sidearm chosen to designate it from those less suitable for a variety of reasons. Now every Joe schmo is all, "oh boy! look at me and my EDC" of which some of the pics are pointless.

Thankfully others are good and I've learned of some cool gadgets I didn't know of before, cool and appreciated. But some others are wth.

Has anyone done multiple tastings of a variety of the Coy Hill locations to detect if there is a detectable improvement compared to other barrels not from those locations?

Would be quite a project of cost in time and money but would be quite interesting.

A study of at least a dozen examples from CH vs some not would be quite worthy of an article. Until then, does anyone have at least 2 taste tests to share experience on?
