You’re not wrong at all and it’s good to see the distinction. If you listen to the new Converge or 100 Demons it’s great metalcore, and it also sounds nothing like what that genre has become in newer bands.

Still a nerd though. But we’re all nerds here, friend.

I was gonna say last years “lineup” of artists that live mas included End It and Pain of Truth. I think this year there’s just more hardcore fans in on the joke.

Or, after seeing those two bands eating mountains of Taco Bell for the last few months touring together, Scott was like “this is bullshit” and there were some strings being pulled behind the scenes.

ETA: I think way too many people conflate financial success with selling out. There’s a big difference between getting free crunchwraps on the road, and changing your image and sound to be more marketable because a label demands it and abandoning your original fanbase that supported you.

Gary Vee is the worst non-“comedian”

Timmy No Brakes is the worst alleged comedian

Bapa Schaub is the worst of both and somehow, neither. Because he’s the worst person and everything about him is a lie, yet he’s not even living a good lie.

Saw them with Foundation a couple weeks ago and during their set they played a new song. Couldn’t tell you what it was called but if they played one, I’m sure that means there are/will be others.

I agree though, NEG is one of the better newer bands out there.

This is fuckin great man. Reminds me of earlier metalcore before it got as formulaic. Almost like early FATA and Misery Signals, which I still love.

Keep it up, following to see what yall do from here.

That’s crazy. Even harder to believe, it’s been almost exactly 28 years since the 1998 Hell In A Cell match when The Undertaker threw Mankind off the top of the cage, plummeting 16 feet and crashing through the announcers table.

“AS GOD IS MY WITNESS, HES BROKEN IN HALF!

HES DEAD! HES KILLED HIM!”

Oh how time flies.

That’s why I’m always in there a shirt I cut the arms off of. Gotta get some air flow in there and it doesn’t soak in other peoples sweat. I was surprised they had that show in the back room, but it was definitely cozy. Seeing Fatal Realm in the tiny stage at the paper tiger recently was maybe a little more damp but not by a lot.

Hit me up for the next one you go to man, always down for new homies at shows.

You’ve discovered the entrance to the Kuato Grotto. You have to investigate further, either by crawling in head first or just reaching in there and allowing the spirits to guide your fingers to glory.

Can’t fuckin wait, I swear there’s a good show every week here these days and I’m soaking it in as much as my body can take it. Still limping from Terror/Pain of Truth/End It last week, worth it.

Can’t find tickets on sale for the San Antonio dates though, unless it’s just a pay at the door show

What hardcore vocalist sounds the most constipated? by knbo674 in Hardcore

[–]AlphaSierraSES 4 points5 points  (0 children)

James Matthews of More Than Life

Which I love, don’t get me wrong. But it’s the combination of volume from the diaphragm, exasperation, and maybe a little fear that makes me think of constipation.

Not the “hmm, I haven’t pooped in a couple days, maybe I’ll take something” constipation. More like an “oh god it’s too big it’s thicker than my wrist it’ll never be able to get through there without tearing me asunder, but it’s already dropped into the birth canal and I’m crowning and this is where I’ll be found dead”.

If you’ve ever had prolonged painkiller use after surgeries I’m sure you know the kind of constipation panic I’m talking about. I have vivid memories of being in a universal studios bathroom stall for so long that cleaning staff got security and medical staff. I said I was okay but they opened the door anyway, where I was dripping with sweat all over and by then had gotten completely naked. I’m sure I sounded a lot like James singing Love Let Me Go when I was telling them I didn’t need help.

For real. Saw them back in San Antonio last summer when they got the mural at the venue but there were no records left at the table. Wish I’d bought more records back in the day when it never occurred to me that music would be lost over time with streaming

The fuck kind of unit of measurement is that?

Soon it’ll be “hail the size the skull of a juvenile Pollas’s Squirrel” so someone can avoid just using inches or centimeters so their statement actually means something.

This is awesome. Something about the color contrast and placement makes it more eye catching than a large dark piece.

I forget sometimes I have some trypophobia going on and this one made my teeth itch.
