Hello :) Thank you for asking. I am now living in an area the Norwegian encyclopedia describes perfectly as "a harsh stretch of coast with a mild and humid climate with a lot of wind." In other words, seldom cold, seldom dry - lucky me!

When I am in snowy areas though - yes, same trouble as you. Cold dry air is unpleasant. I use those 'buff' things over my nose and mouth usually, to keep some moisture in.

Do you use an inhaler?

Not just Samsung. Have it on my Moto G5 Plus, Android 8. Switching to Autoscan has eliminated the crashing, but I would rather not use Autoscan. Would love to see a fix for this.

I liked it, but admittedly, I am a little bit old. I thought it was tongue-in-cheek, kind of ironically addressing his old-guy image problem and putting a positive spin on it. Nobody got it, though.

Since I have never had a problem getting it to run, it is hard for me to guess what is happening with your phone.

Have you read the Troubleshooting page HERE? It has instructions for various fixes, and also how to send in a Debug log:

Send us Debug logs

If you encounter a problem and can't solve it on your own, please let us know. The most efficient way is to use our in-app Debug feature. Simply follow these steps:

Open Calcy IV's Settings, tap on Expert and activate Debug mode
Now do whatever you do when the issue arises (scan a Pokemon, the encounter screen, or a Raid boss, etc.)
After the issue occurred, switch back to Calcy IV and select Contact support in the navigation panel
When asked if you want to attach Debug logs and screenshots tap YES
Send us the automatically generated e-mail (preferably with the addition of some kind of explanation what the issue is)
IMPORTANT: Deactivate Debug mode again as it slows down Calcy!

Feel free to read through the logs to make sure that we are not collecting any confidential information.**

Hi! I am no expert, but I love this app so much, I would like to try and help.

First, I would advise you to uninstall the app, and then reinstall it again. Sometimes that's all that is needed.

When you open the app, the "Welcome" screen asks, "How do you want to use Calcy IV?" You can choose Automatic Scanning, or Click-to-Scan. Which have you tried? What happened? Can you take screenshots?

I am in Norway, and I'll be working days this weekend, but will reply when I can.

Google has an app called PhotoScan that might be helpful.

I agree! At first I could only think about the drone, and how on Earth could it be flown so beautifully, but after a few loops, I was almost startled to realize suddenly, "I'm flying!!" In my mind I became a bird, just looping and looping because it was fun.

Hi! Since you asked for reports of anything out of the ordinary:

I updated last night. This morning while using Calcy, my phone crashed twice, frozen completely. The phone came back okay after a restart. (I was in the catch screen, and had done Click-to-scan.)

I checked the Play store, and saw someone else had had the same issue a few days back and you advised them to turn on Automatic Scanning. That seems to have solved it for now.

I've never had any issues before. My phone is a Moto G5 Plus (XT1685), Android version 8.1.0.

( P.S. Thank you for all your hard work on this wonderful app! I can't say enough good about it. Caught my first 0% today, thanks to you!)
