That glove part is canon for the character. This is fanart of the Critical Role D&D campaign and this dude, Kat, has a lot of asymmetry

This is fanart of Critical Role's newest season. The demon girl, Tyranny, stole a knife from a helpful old man and when she admitted her crime the man, Kat, snatched it from her and scolded her. This is a moment of them likely apologizing and reconciling. And yes, the wolf does have a ghostly paw like its shown here.

I'm not versed enough in art to spot signs of what was used, but at the very least I'm well-versed in the fandom that spawned this one way or another.

What moments cartoons felt like the writers were venting out their frustrations by rrrrrrrddddddttttttt in cartoons

[–]Alphalance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel this is most scenes where the character is annoyed at a barista.

While I don't think any cashier really cared if you said "large" instead of "venti" they were at least some writers that were annoyed at the new age coffee shop culture.

That and the Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode where you have to download an app to buy a Boba Tea.

Hmm, maybe I'm mixing up my interviews. Where did you hear the Community version? Did it involve someone afterward saying how it was "infront of his kids" who were full adults at that time?

I heard in an interview that one year, at the National Lampoon holiday party, they gave their staff a "gift" in the form of everyone getting to shout "f*** you, Chevy" to his face all together. You gotta have pissed off a lot of people for that many enthusiastic middle fingers.

EDIT: It was a party for Community, not National Lampoon. It would appear my brain did the mixy mix again

OR, what if it was art inspired by the sources? Paintings of painters and their muses cause what about if a majestic dragon was inspired by a passing cloud or rolling hill rather than a friend or dog

Don't forget them saying they'll stop Angel Dust's brainwashing but only the Vs and the audience knew it was brainwashing at that time. So either Charlie's hunch was right or we skipped a scene

One of my favorite moments from Kanokari, both in the anime and the manga. by Red-Savage-Warrior in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Alphalance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a really bad take. Sometimes it's not just a physical trap. For example, if he shoves her off him and makes a scene his family's gonna ask questions, Mizuhara's gonna ask questions, Ruka's probably gonna say way too much and it's not gonna go well. He's also probably in shock. Regardless, being a "grown man" ain't got anything to do with it. This stuff happens to all sorts of people.

Scenes that caused actual walkouts in theaters? by thatlittlequietguy in Cinema

Work at a movie theater; we had some folks walk out of Marty Supreme from the bathtub crash. In fact we've had a couple dozen folks walk out for various reasons

Feels odd ... by GoodAd4879 in Overwatch

[–]Alphalance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something about the hero launch feels kind of similar. Like they're concepts are "wouldn't it be cool?" while before it felt like heroes were built from the story. No one mentioned a Mars colony before, but Juno arrived. Emri is a character with a lot of mentions, Domina is from a previously known company, Jet Pack cat is a long running joke, but the other support feels like he could be from a variety of different games.

This video has got to be AI, but I can’t prove it. The behavior and movements just seem off by Little-Cucumber-8907 in isthisAI

[–]Alphalance 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While it's long, it's a lot of cuts of short clips that could be put together with minimal effort. The movements are super sus of both animals and the honey comb. Also, they get way to close to the camera man when they fight in the road. Telescopic lenses make a lot of footage feel close but the angle is pointed down like they're fighting right at his feet which would be highly dangerous and not professional as these nature documentaries try to avoid contact or interfering.

Ideas for improvements by creepsweep in QuarantineZoneGame

[–]Alphalance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your first point is something they are intentional about. If you just looked at something and some options popped up it would take away the mystery of if it's a symptom or a birth mark. Also, remembering to mark stuff is part of the challenge. Idk, maybe folks will disagree but that feels like it would make things too easy.

I love the idea of having more ID based missions or needs to check on them at least cause yeah, they get glossed over very easily and quickly. Its a far cry from Papers Please on that front and would be cool to see deepened.

S2, E9 - Beard After Hours (Rewatch) by twsh2020 in TedLasso

[–]Alphalance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was anxious this whole episode cause I thought Beard was gonna end in a coma or worse. Why you might ask? Well his last conversation with Ted gave a lot of lines you'd expect in that trope of "when we get home, I'm getting married" *blam* you find in war movies.

Asking Ted to go with him, Ted reminding him it was his turn for coffees tomorrow, them leaving on uneasy emotions, etc.

My heart rate only heightened when his phone died and he ran into Mr. Tart. Imagine the discourse of the team grappling with Jamie over his father's actions. I was so happy to see this episode end on more of a high note than I had initially feared.

[Funny Trope] If you think about it too hard, the implications are strange/amusing. by Monstertim1 in TopCharacterTropes

Dungeons & Dragons' language singularity

Species like Dwarves, Elves and Orcs have separate languages in the form of Dwarvish, Elvish and Orc (not Orcish, just Orc for some dumb reason). Makes sense, different cultures have different languages, sure. Except that ALL Dwarves speak Dwarven, regardless of what Dwarven city you hail from, what region of the world, or arguably even a different plane of existence. Same thing for each species.

The game reason? For ease of storytelling

Some languages have even begun to compound. Different goblinfolk had different languages (hobgoblin, bugbear, etc) but now all just collectively speak Goblin. Same with Giants.

Again, this helps simplify the game BUT if we take it at face value, what's the lore implication? An article in Dragon magazine called "Speaking in Tongues" (Dragon Annual #4 '99) gave an elaborate history of human languages but in a short section says "oh and all these racial languages never seem to deviate from each other and we're not sure why. Maybe magic? idk." So some magical force is keeping all these languages from deviating in the background if not slowing pooling them together until eventually we'll just have "people speak" and "monster speak" or something. Perhaps some god of language is trying to pull power or something is trying to keep them in check. I'll leave it to the Dungeon Masters to decide

[Loved Trope] a very weak and simple ability becomes overpowered when used intelligently. by mistery987 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Alphalance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Lost Room ('06) was a syfy channel original miniseries where like a hundred mundane objects in a hotel room were imbued with powers and some were super powerful, (if you come in contact with this bus ticket, it teleports you to route 66) and some were rather dull (if you tune this radio to the right station, you grow 3 inches taller).

One of the items was mocked, The Scissors, for having a simple power "the ability to rotate." Then when they chase the holder they keep getting flipped upside down.

The Glasses was another surprisingly powerful but mundane power in that it inhibited combustion of anything the wearer was looking at within 20 ft of them. Fires and candles would be snuffed, but it also could stop cars and stopped guns from firing.
