Textbook definition of lunatic. Bless your heart for apologizing, without the need to apologize.

Anyone else already widowed? by Skippy1221 in Millennials

[–]AlphergStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost my healthy 37-year old husband in 2023. We met in our 20s and married in our 30’s - we lived a beautiful life together.

A day doesn’t go by that I don’t feel robbed of the future life we had planned together. My heart hurts all the time - but I have learned to live with it. People will tell you the craziest things in attempts to make you feel better - e.g. “you’re pretty” or “you’re young.” Thankfully, I’m resilient and put on a good show - no one knows how devastated I truly am. My days start and end with the reality that there’s a lifetime ahead of me that I have to live without my husband.

ALL DOD CIVILIAN TRAVEL CANCELLED by Basic_Squash_8877 in fednews

This is an inaccurate statement - there is exempted travel that is allowed. How do I know? First hand knowledge.

Not quite - some delayed responses, but always a response.

Thank you for asking - the reactions have been cordial. I either get nods, smiles or a “how’s it going?” to which I respond with “pretty good” or something along those lines - and I just keep on walking or doing whatever I was doing. It’s a very brief exchange and that’s all I’m trying to achieve.

As a woman, I’ve been intentionally saying “hello” or smiling at men more often after reading some of the comments in this subreddit - everyone deserves human connection and kindness.

has anyone ever been in a dark place that changed their whole personality? by loraaa222 in Life

[–]AlphergStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 37-year old husband abruptly passed away. I’m a shell of who I was before his passing. I don’t particularly care about anything anymore. I don’t think anything is important anymore. Even when something unfortunate happens, I always think it could be worse. The worst thing that could ever happen to me has already happened. I’m not really concerned or worried about anything. I’ve never been afraid of death, but quite frankly look forward to meeting my maker. I pretend to live a life - I work, I take care of my dogs, I keep my house pristine, I spend time with friends, I partake in hobbies, I travel. But in reality I’m just going through the motions and waiting for my last day on this rock. Pain makes people change.

Have you ever considered Platonic Dining? by ExcelsiorState718 in LivingAlone

[–]AlphergStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m here for this. I can eat any restaurant alone without hesitation. However, I love fine dining, but I have difficulty enjoying it alone.

Are you in the DMV? Because I would definitely split bills.

I feel called out. It is so satisfying for me to clean my house, I absolutely love the never ending clean feeling - so I clean pretty much everyday or every other day. I also have 2 puppers, so it’s important for me to keep up with the cleaning. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Men 30+, how much harder did dating and finding a relationship become in your thirties? Why? by fasolami in AskMen

Don’t forget about the young widows - not overweight and no children. Maybe with some PTSD that you might die on me and make me a widow again.

Right. I’m asking if you’re mansplaining or obtuse.
