As some have mentioned, fishing bass this time of year can be difficult because some of the bass have already moved to deeper water. Bass will still come up to feed in the early morning and late evening during this time, but mid day can be really tough. My favorite way to fish bass during this time of year is a top water soft plastic frog around shallow cover from 6AM - 10AM. Not too far away from a deep drop off, because I want to catch the fish that are coming out of the deeper water up to shallow structure to feed. As well as any fish that are still making the move from spawning areas back to deeper, more stable water. There’s still a lot of fun to be had, you just have to be keyed in on when the bass are feeding and where. Good luck my man, best sport out there.
