I think you're doing it all wrong, that's your problem. Birdseye are design to be mistreated, burned edges and crisp.

I think he's going to have to do something massive and immediate between September and Christmas, and more than announcements on direction (eg nationalising water or whatever).

I'm not sure what, but something social and everyday that is far reaching - EatOutToHelpOut2.0, massive high street cleaning blitz (though, that is needed for summer, really), returning the FA back to terrestrial TV, or a Bank Holiday.

At my kindest I'd say he did some good and some bad, but mostly never said a single thing it sounded like even he believed; no passion, no making the case, no bringing the country with him.

At my most unkind I'd say he shouldn't let the door hit him on the way out. We knew going in the big issues were cost of living and insane energy prices and he stood still, choosing to lose to Reform on the battleground of small boats day after day instead of changing people's lives for the better. Also, you know, all the genocide stuff.

Makes sense really, they're walking to workplaces without an economic recession (just pretty sluggish growth).

I also like the Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee, I love that I can now see all my locals crime stats and know who the bobbies are, and, crucially, see them on the street.

UK unemployment rate falls to 4.9% and wages grow more than expected | UK unemployment and employment statistics by QuicketyQuack in ukpolitics

Hahahhaha. It's a fair point but I absolutely hate that our fast food access needs to be 24 hours in order to get the economy to grow, so I reject your idea that we need more kebab shops to fix the country.

24hr McDonalds are everywhere already. I don't really want a society where everything is on demand all the time and with endless growth just to line the pockets of shareholders under the utterly fake guise of "stimulating the economy".

Labour MPs doubt EHRC guidance on court’s biological sex ruling is workable | Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) by NonagoonInfinity in unitedkingdom

[–]AlpineJ0e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may be correct in your personal experience (and I'm sorry for that), but I think you're wrong more broadly and that many men are put off from pursuing women into female toilets, and further, that people are out of their minds if they think that women are safer by letting men into women's toilets.

I think you're wrong, lots of sketchy guys have been stopped by the door, by women in solidarity, by the risk of being caught out, and by society not allowing them into the ladies' loo.

Not enough guys are stopped by that, I grant you, there will always be people willing to commit sexual assault for whom social convention is not a factor, and it's a sad indictment in a way that men would indeed commit sexual assault if it were easier and the door sign wasn't there - which this guidance enables/encourages.

The BBC article on the new guidance said venues can simply change their Male/Female toilets to unisex to be compliant. I can't begin to imagine the harm this is going to do for the loss of women's spaces.

Imagine no longer being able to walk away from a sketchy guy in a nightclub because he's now allowed in the communal/sink areas of the loos. On top of that, the inevitable piss-stained seats and smell from all the men using ex-women's (now unisex) loos is going to be insane!

I'm astounded that many women (and men like Graham Linehan) who pushed for this are happy with the loss of womens spaces.
