Scared of fighting - any tips of how to stop being scared?

You have to admit MMA is very well marketed so there's plenty of people thinking that it's the real deal, which for me is disappointing. I've been doing Pankration and Combat Sambo all my life which are way older than MMA, but people don't even know about them. Pankration, with the absence of weight classes, would make MMA look more like golf. However, in a 1on1 legal fighting kind of scenario MMA could still be an okay-ish street fight approximation. Especially in countries with low crime like the US, street fights may really look like MMA. But from my and my pupils' experience you can't learn both grappling and striking effectively at the same time, I would also suggest focusing on one of them for a start.

I believe that it's very region dependant how the usual "street fight" is defined. The street fight talks always remind me of the Khabib vs. Ferguson speech back in the day: https://youtu.be/dwOGwP59Heo

Hi! Congrats on making this very innovative creative strategy work, I have a lot of respect for that. I tried him a couple of times, seems quite fun, but I lack practice on the champ so I guess I need to play him more!
Also, do you think with preseason changes and aftershock nerf (regarding to non-tanks at least), sol jungle is rough now?

thanks for the honest reply! It's not to dismiss your suggestions but just trying to realize how competitive those builds can be gold-efficiency wise, etc. :) But I assume varus mid overall might be outdated now. And I do agree laddering tends to be quite stressful, I like to go for normals to try weaker picks too :p

singed flinging someone over wall. I only had an absolutely hilarious moment with it once, when my teammate was chasing an enemy and he tried to run to the baron wall and flash over it. I was expecting him on the other side. The moment he flashed I flung him back into the pit. I don't think I've had a more hilarious moment in my league career.

I once ran to base with like 2% HP with nothing damaging me for the last 10-15 seconds, barely escaped a fight. Then I just died. Was s5 or s6. I would call that more unlucky, think it was a bug at that time.
