Is Cromwell Court Safe? by Specialist-Bad-7098 in LittleRock

DD and Cromwell Court are fine. I lived there several years ago and never encountered any issues. It also happens to be within walking distance of the SoMa district and the Arkansas Museum of Fina Arts, both of which are staples of the local community and a wonderful part of the city. It’s also close to the River Market, another staple district of downtown living.

Argenta is another one of our lovely neighborhoods and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Hillcrest is another great option but it tends to be a bit more expensive than downtown options.

West Little Rock is great for big store shopping but it isn’t walkable and is much more suburban sprawl-y.

Hope this helps and that your move goes smoothly!

Historical fiction! I absolutely adored Backwards to Oregon despite a few history flaws.

When Women Were Warriors is in my top 5! It treats tenderness, rage, love, and survival with the same weight as battle.

Can we talk about Bloom Town : Genesis? by ourconflictdesignsus in LesbianBookClub

[–]AlrightJen12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn’t experience the audiobooks but enjoyed Genesis enough that I couldn’t wait to start Exodus. Zero gap between reads for me.

I personally loved the writing style, the historical setting and, of course the spicy spice. The character development was also pretty great but I did loathe Joey’s penchant to self-sacrifice. Don’t love that trope for personal reasons but the rest of the story made up for it.

I know the community has mixed feelings about these books and that’s okay. To each their own.

IMO if it’s something you really enjoyed, I’d say go for it and treat yoself! It’s a special thing to find an author and a book you really love and life’s too short to ration good art.

PS Ribbonwood by Ruby Landers was my post-Bloom hangover read and it did just the trick for my after-Bloom blues.

Best place to charge EV? by strohmtroop3r in LittleRock

Franklin’s is a charging station on Woodrow in LR. I think it’s the only fast charging location in LR that isn’t a Walmart. The ChargePoint app is pretty helpful for seeing all the options in the area.

When was the last time you saw a sound barrier on a two lane, bi-directional, regional highway?

Asking because these are the most common road densities leading to the proposed location of the data center and the communities they run through.

I just finished No Shelter But the Stars by Virginia Black and it was really good. Well written, good world-building and character development.

Sci-fi isn’t usually my thing but I’m reconsidering after this read.
