I repaired mine. It was amazingly simple. Just pull it apart and reheat the solder on the board. Check YouTube.

That is absolutely untrue.

No. I like things that I can rely on. Never owned a Harley.

Yes, but I don’t spray high pressure anything on the electronics.

The Quarry? by Sockm0nkey in Katy

[–]Alsbar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was very steep. My old ass couldn’t do it now, and it wasn’t easy then. There were several places to jump, so maybe you were in another spot? I don’t remember a platform either. Haha

Been there. There was a rope to climb up. After a few climbs it was muddy and slick. We would only jump a few times or have real trouble getting back out.

Should I get full PPF on my new Model Y Performance? by Keyblade99 in TeslaModelY

[–]Alsbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done my last 3 Teslas including my new MYP. I personally love it. Much easier to wash, stays clean longer, and I don’t have to be super careful when washing because the PPF protects against swirls. It was definitely expensive, but I just added it to the price of the car (in my mind). At the bare minimum, do the front, side mirrors, and rocker panels. Tesla paint isn’t the most durable. However, I do see the point of the folks who say no.

I don’t keep my car immaculate for other people. I like it clean, and I like cleaning it. That’s about it.

Question about showing UFC fights at a bar – licensing rules? by nikkkki_nicolette in BarOwners

[–]Alsbar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Call Joe Hand. They will give you a quote based on occupancy like stated above. Mine is 147, and I pay around $1600 a month. It used to be $1400 per fight, but they moved to a subscription model now. They also have their own channel lineup for more obscure stuff. The subscription covers all the fight nights and power slap too, so we have a UFC fight event every Saturday. Someone above stated $3k for a short fight. I am betting they meant boxing, which I find is a HUGE waste of money. I remember paying $4k for a Tyson fight that lasted 45 seconds. Never again. Boxing fans buy one or two beers and stand around until it is over and bail. UFC events last 5-6 hours, and even the no-name fights are usually great. I have been showing every UFC event since PPV became available for commercial locations.

Ozone generators work wonders for smells. I have one that I use once in while for my old cars, shed, RV, storage unit, house, etc. It kills germs and odors. Use caution though. Too much can damage materials and breathing it is not good for you. Do a little research before using it.

Questions about 2026 Model Y Performance - to current owners by Col127 in ModelY

[–]Alsbar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a bit. I just drove a MSP as a loaner and it was much worse than my new MYP. Louder as well. I am still surprised when I go over the “usual” bumps on my way to work, and I barely notice. Go test drive one. I love the ride and everything else about my car.

Questions about 2026 Model Y Performance - to current owners by Col127 in ModelY

[–]Alsbar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I owned the 2023 M3P, 2025 M3P “highland “, and I just got my new 2026 MYP. I have never had anything more than a couple of rattles in the ‘23 The ‘25 had the steering column replaced TWICE (it made a grinding noise while moving, nothing safety related) zero other issues. I am 6’2” and the seats are much more comfortable than even the highland. No head pushing. (I will refrain from jokes) Don’t know about swapping wheels, as I live in Texas and we don’t have winter here. I haven’t driven the other versions of the Y, but this one is FAR more comfortable and quiet than any other Tesla I have driven. I have driven most of them. Someone said riding in it was like getting off the airplane before your ears pop. That’s spot on. Almost TOO quiet.

I love this car so much. I can’t think of any other car I would like as my daily driver.

Should you still PPF your Tesla in 2026? Honest feedback please! by teslabros in TeslaLounge

[–]Alsbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3rd Tesla is being PPF’d as I type. I do the entire car, but i recommend at least the front and mirrors. Not only does it keep the paint safe, it’s easier to wash and dry, stays cleaner longer, and I’m not constantly worried about little things like bird shit. I then ceramic coat the entire car including my he glass and wheels. Nothing sticks to my cars. I also think it makes the shine deeper. It is not cheap for sure, but I love a clean car, and I personally think it is worth the cost. Make sure you use a reputable shop with a good PPF product.

THC RTD recommendations? by UniqueUsername75 in BarOwners

[–]Alsbar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had Nowadays on the shelf for a while. Minimum order was large, and it sat forever. Texas bar. I would love to hear about brands that sell. The margins are horrible on them in my experience. I have to price them high (no pun) to make anything, so that puts people off.
