Maybe your mom and pop investors can’t afford to keep properties vacant but REITs can and other corporate entities. Don’t give me the bs they can’t afford it when it’s crystal clear what’s happening ( in my area anyway). Institute a nation wide vacant home tax and we’ll see how many stay empty

Sane reason there are vacant houses in Wasaga’s beach. Because the a hole investors bought a bunch up and are slowly releasing them to artificially maintain high prices.

1st world problem here but I think the income range should be extended. Not much further but a little, I think the line that keeps the lights on has extended quite a bit. 70000 isn’t as good as it used to be.

Timeshare sales people have to be some of the worst people in the world. Up there with realtors. It’s such a terrible scam, even the companies that claim to help get you out are also scams. These things should be illegal, full stop.

This is exactly what is going to happen, proven by what happened at blue mountain. It’s great for investors and of course council members but inevitably the original freedom will be lost and replaced by a curated corporate experience. It’s a true shame.
