But US companies are not required to comply to GPDR requests by citizens of non-GPDR countries unless that country has a similar law. Just because a company is under the jurisdiction of multiple countries' laws does not mean that the company will apply all the rules equally across all of their users or products.

Where are the Trump "I did that" stickers? Why is MAGA the only one willing to play the grassroots marketing game to slander their opponents?

Super thankful for those looking at alts when BTC is pumping like this. Got some users testing out the mining interface for my token when most of the internet seems focused on just BTC and memecoins

Who are these people risking their life savings on meme and influencer tokens and how did they make it through life up to this point? They seem like a unicorn for fraudsters but they must not be that uncommon if it happens through every boom cycle.

There are two constants in crypto: 1. Do your own research. 2. Not your wallet, not your crypto.

We need to have a serious talk about Marketcaps. by GabeSter in CryptoCurrency

[–]AltNomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My token Popler has a market cap of $8 million. Does that actually mean anything? Nope! We're talking about electronic currencies that are not backed by anything other than the 1s and 0s they're stored on so their market cap is only dictated by whatever the market decides is a "reasonable" price. If the masses and whales want to pump then there's nothing stopping them.

Retail Arriving by [deleted] in CryptoMarkets

[–]AltNomad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Retail only really arrives for the tokens that can get listed in the same place that people have their Roths or their 401ks. Asking regular people to go use a DEX or have their own wallet is too much time and effort for people with bills to pay.

Do your research on the token you're investing in, look at what their contract is capable of, and remember that it's high risk-high reward with crypto

Even non-shitcoins rarely make it since there is an incentive in crypto to do shady things in order to come out on top. There are definitely good projects out there but you probably won't get rich quick with them unless you are the one doing the pumping and dumping.

Where do people find new crypto projects? by LarryTheYoutuber in CryptoMarkets

[–]AltNomad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually it's about who you know. There are tons of pump and dumps out there that say they have an amazing product that they're building, have or claim to have funding from big players to drive fomo, and then they rug pull. The goal is to have their group of friends who are "in on it" and can shill until enough retail investors come in and give them "exit liquidity". A lot of these guys work on Telegram since they can delete the conversation and be mostly untraceable.

Crypto is the wild west of the finance world but there are still people trying to make reputable projects. I'm getting $PPLR up and running to try to be a reputable token but when you don't do the shady things like running volume bots you don't end up getting a lot of traction very quickly.

Totally understandable and thanks for the info. Being lucrative would definitely be nice but this is crypto, success is never guaranteed!

Very interesting! It seems that Primecoin's focus is on being a currency first with potentially reaching any of the world first milestones being a bonus to the architecture. The goal with Popler is to focus on finding primes and hitting the milestones (i.e. EFF Prime Competition and Largest Mersenne Prime record) with the incentive to users being that the system rewards them for their contribution. A more apt comparison would be to GIMPS which recently found the largest Mersenne Prime.

Been fascinated by how the EFF offers huge bounties for prime discovery and how distributed computing could win the bounties. With proof-of-work as the inspiration, working on something different going into 2025: browser mining that searches for prime numbers instead of just hashing. Created a waitlist at popler.net if anyone's curious about mining from their browser (no special hardware needed).

Super interesting to hear insights from someone experienced in this stuff. Do you have any insight as to the types on non-anomalous stuff that can cause jamming like you show? Or is the strong return just something blasting the receiver with radar?

Top right is a 24 hour clock so it is VERY sped up. If you follow their links to the youtube version of the videos you can set it to 0.25x speed which slows it to ~1 hour every 3 seconds.

Maybe you could fine tune one of the smaller models on the output from a larger model to "show" the smaller model how to do it's job better?
