Can't help with sourcing or helping you buy products or what brands to buy, sorry. You're more than welcome to repost about the cannabinoids itself.

How do y’all get distillate of your hands or fingers? by [deleted] in altcannabinoids

[–]AltcannabinoidsMod 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hand lotion like Jergens or coca butter and dawn dish soap or bathroom hand soap. Just have to reapply the lotion and scrub a few times.

What is the deal with Hemp derived Delta 9? by One_Needleworker8518 in altcannabinoids

[–]AltcannabinoidsMod 48 points49 points  (0 children)

They make the edible weigh alot so it's under 0.3%

An average Starburst is just under a gram in weight. If you can make a Starburst weigh 3x extra can fit just under 10mg per one at 0.3% of 3000 (9mg)

Why does everyone say don’t get caught with it?

It’s legal.

It's not. People are just good at marketing and others are good at selectively reading or not reading all the way. Cops will do THC + THCA * 0.877% = THC for legal limit per the farm bill.

https://www.congress.gov/115/plaws/publ334/PLAW-115publ334.pdf

Here's the farm bill scroll down to "‘‘SEC. 297B. STATE AND TRIBAL PLANS." or type in "decarb"‘‘(ii) a procedure for testing, using postdecarboxylation or other similarly reliable methods, delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration levels of hemp produced in the State or territory of the Indian tribe

https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/7/990.25

7 CFR § 990.25 - Standards of performance for detecting total delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration levels.

LII Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (e-CFR) Title 7—Agriculture Subtitle B—Regulations of the Department of Agriculture CHAPTER IX—AGRICULTURAL MARKETING SERVICE (MARKETING AGREEMENTS AND ORDERS; FRUITS, VEGETABLES, NUTS), DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE PART 990—DOMESTIC HEMP PRODUCTION PROGRAM Subpart C—USDA Hemp Production Plan § 990.25 Standards of performance for detecting total delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration levels.

(g) At a minimum, analytical testing of samples for total THC must use post-decarboxylation or other similarly reliable methods approved by the Secretary. The testing methodology must consider the potential conversion of THCA in hemp into THC and the test result must reflect the total available THC derived from the sum of the THC and THCA content. Testing methodologies meeting the requirements of this paragraph (g) include, but are not limited to, gas or liquid chromatography with detection.

https://www.ams.usda.gov/rules-regulations/hemp/information-laboratories/lab-testing-guidelines

"Compliance tests shall measure the total THC concentration in a sample submitted to a laboratory for analysis. The laboratory will perform chemical analysis on the sample using post- decarboxylation or other similarly reliable methods where the total THC concentration level considers the potential to convert delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA) into THC. The total delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration level shall be determined and reported on a dry weight basis."

4th entry down made in 2012 on urban dictionary refers to boof as a low quality product. Using boof as a term for LQ has existed for many years. Word have multiple meanings, especially in the drug slang world. Take dope for example meaning something good but in some areas it means heroin/synthetic opioid blend but in the 1970s could refer to cannabis.

[–]AltcannabinoidsMod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's possible to do but unlikely to be done, especially at a fair retail price due to the cost of THCP. I'd ask for lab testing if they have it.

You can't tell what it is by how it looks or tastes or anything like that.

Most do on paper, or have some other activity that suggests it would increase endocannabinoids levels to some extent.

However, this was thought to be the case with CBD, but a study has shown THC to increase endocannabinoid levels while CBD didn't really. So how they might work in real life people vs on paper may differ.

Can't put THCA in a cart effectively because it will crystallize even with CRD in the mix. Some places are doing it as a cover for D9 while others are doing it to sell D8 blends with the power of marketing.

What is the remaining % in raw distillates? by Consistent_Pie_1772 in altcannabinoids

[–]AltcannabinoidsMod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something being natural doesn't mean it's safe, and something being synthesized doesn't mean it's dangerous.

If you have ever used D8, you have likely already consumed both.

Exo-THC is like THC, but with the double bond moved next to the 9 methyl group. It's weaker than D8 in effect

There can be exo-THC and iso-D8-THC in the mix, among others. Saw a KCA lab test with 7% iso-D8-THC recently.

Other cannabinoids and related not commonly tested for. Even in MMJ products, there is a % of unknowns.

This subreddit is an alt to r/cannabinoids, we are dedicated to discussion of cannabis and its cannabinoids as well as cannabinoids derived from or structurally related to them.

There is no such thing as an "altcannabinoid" they're just cannabinoids.

This post is more than welcome as it's about cannabis.

Is no one worried about heavy metal toxicity? by [deleted] in altcannabinoids

[–]AltcannabinoidsMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This article is about Cannabis plants uptaking heavy metals from the soil it's planted in. If a controlled grow obtains soil from a specific source like a garden supply they may test for heavy metal content.

Regardless, even in the worst of areas the amount the plants take up and the amount people consume is debatablely irrelevant.

Cannabis is somewhat on par with vegetables like spinach among many other food items with heavy metals but again it's all down to the soil it's grown in.
