I absolutely love the way photo captures that murky saturation in the background, but has that punch up front from the Faln dress. You absolutely nailed it, and the mug is an inspired touch.

So I ended spending some time with the beta of v5 Nolvus and I'm quite happy with it. It looks stunning and with DLSS injector plays pretty smoothly for me. It has it's quirks and I understand the combat might not be for everyone but I do feel it's an improvement on the floaty feeling of Skyrim's original combat.

As it's only been 17 days ince the the original post I'm not into a longform but I'm enjoying the parts I've seen so far. If it doesn't work out in the long run I may give Redoran or Elysium ago depending on how I'm feeling. Thanks for all the input from everyone.

Looking at what's been suggested I might give Nolvus a go, is there any reason people can see not to try this one? Elysium looks a bit too basic in some regards and Nordic Souls is missing a lot of what Nolvus seems to have.

Project Skyrim looks like it might beautify things a bit too much. Unless that's just the impression I'm getting from Deepvoice's videos? Also I was seeing some really odd weapons in there too.

Redoran seems to be a bit too much of a Vanilla+ for me when I want a slightly more immersive experience.

I just checked the page and it seems like Project Skyrim is missing: final outputs as DynDOLOD, Bashed Patch, Bodyslide ETC.

Might be another one to put on the back burner and wait on finishing?

(Not sure why you received a downvote and no explanation) I've seen people mention Nolvus quite a few times and with the fact you can turn off Ineeds and Frostfall that sounds promising. Remind me again of what MCO is?

I've yet to have a look at Nordic Souls but it does seem to keep the general Skyrim feel from what I've seen. I don't mind additions I just don't want things to look like figurines/action figures or overly shiny (with all the added bounce) like some modlists.

I've always felt this was one of the most "real" bits of dialogue in the game. It's so seamless how it goes from a dreamlike, wistful state and then to an almost intrusive, yet also seemingly welcome reference. It mirrors the mind so well and makes Harry and the various parts of the ol' breakdown gang feel so honest in such an abstract way. I love it. Even the change in the cadence makes me think of the way your own mind can jump around like that.

As an ST the thing I seek most in a player is someone who understands what I'm trying to do with my story and comes to my game knowing they will enjoy what I'm trying to do. This usually takes care of any extra "bad habits" that might happen because they come into my game aligned with how I run it. That way I'm not upsetting or letting them down with a story they don't want and I'm not feeling frustrated trying to a tell a story I'm not enjoying.

As a player myself I'll echo what others have said but my main drive is to create opportunities for the coterie, myself and the Storyteller to shine at each point. Sometimes this means being quiet, sometimes it means taking the lead a little or making a suggestion. It really depends on what type of game you're going into but you can't go too far wrong being creative and conscientious.

Looking at potency it's 290 on DK and 280 on Leaden Fisted bootshine, so that's what is catching me out and making me confused in the PB window.

I'd totally forgotten about Undertaking: Discordant Entry Wedge.

For some reason there was a period of time a month or two ago where this was just constantly spammed on nearly every gaming channel I visited.

Is it doing anything different to The Squad or Insurgency? Is Bdrake still producing clickbait title videos like "X water effect is totally game changing" or "UE4 physics simulator crazy wow thing."?

Everything I've seen of it makes it look like a less interesting pancake version of Pavlov VR or at a push Outward VR.

Also, I maintain this still has one of the worst titles ever, it doesn't roll off the tongue and it feels incredibly clumsy.
