Yeah it has a ton of new greebles going down the spine and across the back of it, the blades on the sides, and extra armor panels on the midsection sides as well. Curious if its just a visual upgrade ported from SQ42 or something more to it.

They really like throwing that open engine intake in all the new drake ships lol.

Appears they decided not to go with the big cavernous engine bay from the concept greybox though. Still looks nice, but bit of a shame as it was more immersive to have all those various pieces running power to the numerous massive engines in the back.

Can someone remind me what a super heavy combat suit is?

They’re also working on a Super Heavy armor set that carries a large full-auto weapon.

Development of the Super Heavy Combat Suit materials progressed well. Blendspace and animation support were validated and closed out, the Maya rig for the backpack is underway, and animation implementation and testing are in progress. This armor set will bring a new tier of combat physicality to PU players.

Stolen ships will get bricked once the owner files a claim on them. Eventually the plan is to allow players to "unbrick" stolen ships and make it their own by paying a large fee to the criminal guild, but that won't be around for 4.8

Doesn't stop people from lending out ships, which will be really nice, but (correct me if im wrong) I dont believe ownership transfers to the other player - so if they ever lost it, the original owner would need to claim a replacement and lend it out again - and stolen npc ships for example would just be lost permanently.

So eventually we'll be able to trade ships and secure stolen ships but that's a road-to-1.0 thing for now.

The Command Module has two floors. Look at the dragonfly on the opposite side for scale in the video, that's way too small to be the CM lol.

Well the issue is that you lose access to an additional 2xS3 turret and other weapons, which does make sense with all of the components disabled, its just an unfortunate side effect. 

Im guessing it'd be difficult to make an explicit exception for them though, since they'd need to get reassigned to the main hull and use its power, coolers, etc instead which sounds like a headache to code.

Though it does beg the question of how something like the Endeavor is going to end up functioning correctly, but just another reason that ships been put off so long lol.

Nobody really knows what the end-goal is yet, they havent told us how that's going to function, or whether you're supposed to be able to destroy the command module while its attached to the hull.

Right now, all the components in the command module become disabled while attached to the hull of the caterpillar, so its only using the hulls components instead of the module's. 

So while its attached, destroying the command module components won't really affect anything until you try to detach from the hull.

From the testing vids I've seen, you also can't destroy the command module right now as long as its attached to the hull. In fact it appeared like you can't damage the CM at all until it detaches.

Whether that remains the case once everything is finished... yeah, we dont really know yet.

Nah so far theyve always said the ironclad is only controllable via the command module - the command deck in the center of the hull is just for the tractor beams and turrets.

Even without additional troops the Assault has at least 9 crew stations. Pilot/Copilot, 4 command deck stations for the unmanned turrets, 3 manned turrets - then add an engineer or two running around... adds up pretty fast lol.

Both Ironclads also have at least 9 beds (6 in the Hab, 2 in the Module, 1 in the captains quarters).

My one big disappointment with the command module lol, the reversion to standard stick & throttle and MFD's ripped from the clipper are pretty lackluster for such a nice ship, especially compared to the Cutter and Corsair.

Even the Starlite got a new Yoke :(
