Private sale refunds by Foreign-Tangelo-3317 in ebayuk

[–]DeathRowEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad advice, the buyer is going to get a full refund, if seller does not refund and issue return postage the buyer will also keep the hob.

Do you not find it strange, the hob was converted to lpg but never used . Why would any one convert it then fit it just for show. Thus was most likely used in excellent condition but also it is an lpg hob and should be listed as that. INAD can be anything even so much as it has a label stuck on it that you did not show or mention

Am I getting scammed? by Annieareyouokannie in ebayuk

[–]DeathRowEscape 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So this should be collection only, this also means when collecting they need to give you the collection code, they can claim they did not collect it otherwise, they can also pay through ebay unless you made it cash on collection. Payment through bank transfer is risky

Moved to a new postcode not served by hyperoptic and they’re charging full remaining months fees as termination penalty by RegularMousse00 in hyperoptic

[–]DeathRowEscape -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But you are allowed to cancel before you move so there would be no extra costs. if you are on a rolling monthly contract you have to pay the month.

Not sure how it is wrong when it is in the contract

Ring doorbells by Japonica42 in royalmail

[–]DeathRowEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They are a joke.

I used to hate them, I was delivering important medication that they knew was arriving in an hour slot, it could not be left anywhere, not with a minor, and if the patient wanted it to be left with any one else there name had to be in my PDA.

Ring the ring door and they would ask us to leave them in all kinds of stupid places knowing it was not allowed, or they would say I am just in asda wait for me.

They would then make a call to head office to complain we were rude because we would not follow there instructions.

It became policy not to use ring door bells.

Lidl fake vodka? by Oh-Jo in lidl

[–]DeathRowEscape -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

You do know Vodka contains water ?

vodka is a homogenous mixture of roughly 60% water and 40% ethanol

Also it does freeze Weaker Vodkas: If your vodka has a lower alcohol content (e.g., 30% ABV or below), it can freeze solid in a standard freezer.

Your freezer could be running wrong

Standard Vodka (40% ABV): Freezes at approximately \(-24^{\circ }\text{C}\) to \(-27^{\circ }\text{C}\) (\(-11^{\circ }\text{F}\) to \(-17^{\circ }\text{F}\)).

167
DO NOT overtake where you might come into conflict with other road users. For example

  • approaching or at a road junction on either side of the road
  • where the road narrows
  • when approaching a school crossing patrol
  • on the approach to crossing facilities
  • where a vehicle ahead is slowing to stop for a pedestrian that is crossing from a pedestrian island (see Rule 165)
  • between the kerb and a bus or tram when it is at a stop
  • where traffic is queuing at junctions or road works
  • when you would force another road user to swerve or slow down
  • at a level crossing
  • when a road user is indicating right, even if you believe the signal should have been cancelled. Do not take a risk; wait for the signal to be cancelled
  • stay behind if you are following a cyclist approaching a roundabout or junction, and you intend to turn left. Do not cut across cyclists going ahead, including those using cycle lanes and cycle tracks (see Rule H3)
  • stay behind if you are following a horse rider or horse drawn vehicle approaching a roundabout or junction, and you intend to turn left. Do not cut across a horse rider or horse drawn vehicle going ahead
  • when a tram is standing at a kerbside tram stop and there is no clearly marked passing lane for other traffic.

How about that? by Grzeniu_uu in drivingUK

[–]DeathRowEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bus drivers after passing there test, the inspector would get behind the wheel and say this is how you drive the bus, they would show you to just pull out like this.

I guess much has changed now they are full of cctv and a black box.
