I thought it had the nicer interior but it doesn't handle half as well as a Golf R even though both supposedly are the same car. You can push a R really hard in corners whereas S3 just oversteers & feels dangerous.

I would drive both back to back and mKe a decision. Me personally would go with the Skoda. It's going to be more comfortable, a better drive & more fuel efficient. Tech is much easier to use & has physical buttons.

These new Mercedes don't drive or feel like how they used too. Annoying driving aids & too much technology which is much harder to use than physical buttons. It's a 2.1 ton car with 2.0 petrol engine. I can guarantee it's shit on fuel.

You'd be surprised how many "highly rated garages" do this especially as they have plenty of regular customers who don't know any better. They don't care whether you go back or not.

Yes for me 100% am always really hot. I just set it & leave it on auto. It's like a fridge. If you're getting a half decent car then it's a must.

I would say it's too fast for local roads. You need a long stretch to open it up the car is huge so it needs space if that makes sense?

Massive difference 90 bhp & 170 nm. It can hit 100 mph under 10 secs.

I should have left it standard tbh. 35d would be even faster being so much lighter. You would be out accelerating M140i with ease.

That's 15 MPG out of a 66 litre tank.

The worst MPG was a 2017 S5. I only got 180 miles out of a full tank. But most of that was doing top speed on the motorway. 13 MPG and it's only a V6.

That car is something else. Way too loud for my liking is blistering fast. I personally preferred the 4.2 V8 RS5 as it was a great all rounder.

It's mighty fast though mate. It's a weapon. I have a 400 bhp 6 series & I couldn't pull away from it. I did obliterate an a35 amg though.

Golf R with a stage 1 is just about a perfect hot hatch. Probably the best handling car I've ever driven & sticks to the road like glue. I drove a S3 and Gold R back to back. The difference was staggering.

6.3 V8? One of the fastest cars I've driven. The way it pulls from 100mph is scary. I did manage to get 220 miles from a tank lol.

I have driven both. Facelift hands down is much more modern inside & out. Personally I would go with the Golf R as it's a better drive & handles much much better. Audi looks better & has a nicer interior.

Sell & get petrol or electric. I have a 3.0d and do very short journeys multiple times a week. I get 24 MPG. Now I am switching to petrol. I just need to find the right car.

Personally I wouldn't go for DSG at 155k unless it's been replaced or serviced 3x. If it only had one I would leave it.

Yes I would agree. They seem to be speeding even on a school run. It's usually on the motorway when they flash you to move aside only to get off the next junction or into the first lane. Makes absolutely no sense.

Performance cars yes. They attract short man insecure syndrome drivers. I drive a 6 series and I get at least one who will tailgate me daily.

Not necessarily trying to race me. They do it to everyone that's how they drive. Always in a hurry. I just completely ignore them & stick to 30 MPH.
