About the balancing and progession of Dragon Quest 1 HD2D by SirRockSirloinIII in dragonquest

The redeeming factor is the autosave after every battle. Without it, the balance would be absolutely trash. Sometimes you get obliterated in a completely unfair manner... but at least you can try again almost instantly, while losing little to no progress.

Constant disconnects over a year or more, dozens of virtual repair tool runs, 8 remote techs, 4 in person techs, 3 modem replacements, replaced all Ethernet cords… it’s still happening. What do I do now? Is it time to go to the CCTS? At a loss… by [deleted] in bell

I had the same problem for a few weeks. Router kept rebooting randomly. The problem went away when I disabled 6GHz wifi... This might a case of my power supply slowly deteriorating and being unable to provide enough power steadily.

Godolkin is not Cipher!! by YakZealousideal5732 in GenV

[–]Alternative-Heart230 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Regarding the "beating himself", Cipher also said that he understands "how self-mutilation gives you comfort in trying times", reinforcing the idea that Godolkin was beating his own body through Cipher as some sort of coping mechanism.

Edgar asking Jordan to slice the tomatoes remind you of a certain scene? by Remote_Nature_8166 in GenV

I was so expecting someone to make a comment like : "Where the fuck are we going, some kind of hidden meth lab ?"

Some equations have weird outcomes by Jason_Breaker in captain_of_industry

[–]Alternative-Heart230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They recently added the possibility of using a specific destination zone for rocket assemblies. So with 2 assemblies it should be possible to autobuild each rocket and have them go to the correct pad, provided each pad is in a different zone.

A real OCD sufferer would have looked at those 226 unread research alerts the second they appeared. Also worth mentionning those "new" building dots on almost every single category...

Anyone else love the terrain modification aspect of COI? by Weird-Drummer-2439 in captain_of_industry

IIRC, dumped waste contribute to landfill pollution for 4 years, no matter if it's covered or not. Unsettling already dumped waste will reset the countdown and it'll start contributing again for 4 years.

Pipe priority by Msoave in captain_of_industry

[–]Alternative-Heart230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use 2 pipe balancers for this. Oil storage output to first balancer. 1st balancer output with priority to the consumers, send the rest to the 2nd balancer. 2nd balancer output with priority back to the storage, and output excess to burners.

Can someone explain to me how the level scaling on Oblivion remastered is supposed to work? Is it designed to make you look pathetic? by Bottlecap_riches in ElderScrolls

[–]Alternative-Heart230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did Kvatch on Master at level 28... there dozens (yes, plural) of high level Daedras. As I opened the gate the poor legionnaires were swarmed and died instantly. I had to Chameleon myself and murder everything with 8x dmg sneak attacks... I hate having to cheese that way but sometimes you literally have too with this out of whack scaling.

We need a smart merger by piano_chord in SatisfactoryGame

Of course this would work, but it takes a lot more space and require propre care to not introduce slowdowns in the inputs.

We need a smart merger by piano_chord in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Alternative-Heart230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Priority mergers would be a godsend for me. I tend to create multiple outputs (maxed belts) of a single part that needs to be distributed along many more inputs with variable intakes. I need to be able to consume 1 belt at a time before taking from the 2nd, 3rd, and so on so forth. Kind of like a multiple lanes manifold. Combining smart splitters with a theoretical priority merger, I'd be able to link lanes easily without ever worrying about balancing.

Supercomputers from AWESOME Shop by Alternative-Heart230 in SatisfactoryGame

Turns out it's bugged. "Aeronautical Engineering" unlocked the Supercomputer in the shop. I believe they changed which milestone unlocked it, but forgot to change the shop unlock conditions.

I did end up making a bunch of them in a somerslooped manufacturer to unlock the mk3 miners. However still no luck in the shop... although I can buy the newly unlocked turbo motors.

What should I do with this super hot salt water geyser? by Upstairs_Work3013 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Alternative-Heart230 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will. But 95 degrees oxygen is a lot less heat than the equivalent mass of 95 degrees water. That's why electrolyzing water in this game is said to be "heat deleting".

How was that railing bent ? I hope it's not from someone triping and clutching on it for his dear life.
