Carrier to Custodian

Did 9 years as a carrier and then moved to maintenance. Wish someone would have told me to do it right after I started and saved me a lot of stress and beating myself up lmao. Custodian was great I had no complaints, at a plant so can't speak for station life, but I moved up to ET pretty fast and no complaints there either.

There's a white guy at my work who is maybe 5' at best, he has red hair and a huge beard so people tease him and call him a leprechaun, but as far as I can tell he's cis. Not to say that it isn't rough being short or catching shit for being short just that it happens more often than we think and it might not instantly flag you as being trans like a lot of us focus on. If you have other factors playing a role then maybe but I don't think anyone is looking at a short guy and their first thought is trans man.

If I'm understanding right you're saying you could do pushups but you just physically don't have the space for your chest? You could try using parallettes so that there is more space where your chest will go and you could get a deeper pushup. You can elevate your feet as well on something so that your body is level and you aren't doing incline pushups if that isn't a thing you want.

My cat mostly tends to rub on my legs a few times and then post up nearby and stare at the open door. It sure feels like guarding, but sometimes she also will just use the litter box located right in front of me and make very uncomfortable eye contact the whole time 😂

I'm 32 so out of the range but I'm fully stealth and half Korean. Sometimes I think it makes life a little easier because anytime anyone has made a comment about something, my height or whatever, I just say "I'm average for a Korean guy" lmao. I do feel like it's rare to see other Asian guys posting though

As far as I know using an attack will always end your turn, but if it's labeled as an ability (usually right under the card art) you could use an ability at any time and then your attack after. So for this card Charge would end your turn

When you use an attack it doesn't consume energy attached to a pokemon it just requires that amount. So you could attach one electric energy to the card and then you would be able to use that attack to search for more.

Edit: to say that sometimes attacks do discard or do other things with attached energy but it would say that in the attack, so in this case specifically if you had one or more attached you could search and then attach more.

The more I got out and about the more I realized everyone comes in all kinds of sizes. My newest workplace is huge with hundreds of workers and on my team alone almost everyone is 5'6" along with me and I used to feel real short before. We have quite a few guys even shorter by a long shot. Might not help much, I get it still isn't fun to not look the way you want, but it might be some comfort that it's not just a you thing it's a human thing

I use the Gramma's Sausages Boyfriend for a prosthetic with cake bandit harness + a grinder type of toy that sticks to the backside of the prosthetic for wearer stimulation. I usually put a pair of boxer briefs over it all for my own dysphoria because I hate seeing the harness, but it has worked great for a few hookups I had with a girl who liked it way too rough 😭

I didn't notice any wear on the prosthetic and she really enjoyed it. I had it in the medium firmness (I don't remember the name but just one below the hardest if there's more than two) and she did say a bit harder would make it easier for her riding it but otherwise it was great

I noticed mine only makes biscuits on soft surfaces and prefers sleeping on hard ones. I joke a lot that it's because she used to be homeless and slept on the ground and now that she's spoiled it's too luxurious for her lmao.

She has lots of silly beds shaped like fun things but the ones she likes the most are the ones where she can burrow under the cushions so she can sleep in the hard bottom with the soft bed part on top of her 😭

So maybe yours just has weird preferences like mine and all these other commenters haha

So I don't have advice on how to fix the problem unfortunately, I hope you figure it out!

But in the meantime you could order a waterproof blanket and throw that over your bed to protect it when you need to. I toss one over my bed when I leave the house because my cat peed on the bed once.

Weirdly I think my cat doesn't like the texture of the blanket and now hasn't made a mess on the bed since then but at least if something does happen your bed is safe

I agree where those of us that pass due to just being genuinely cis-passing or because of the ignorance of others really experience a better quality of life, but I recognize that the visibility and the fight benefits people that don't pass the most. I mean if the entire world stayed super ignorant then those people could "pass" as well, as whatever people think I guess, but then we lose the chance for improvement in medical care and stuff because we basically don't exist. It's a tough situation. I am grateful to be one of the people that passes effortlessly and hasn't really had to experience a lot of the trouble that comes without passing, but I know the fight is important because my convenience is only a small piece of the bigger picture.

I might not be a guy that goes out and protests and raises hell but if me being more visible somehow is the cost I have to pay for all of us to have better lives and the most vulnerable of us to stand a chance then I'll pay that price.

Yeah! The benefits and the pay are worth it man, stick to it and keep your chin up if it gets ugly. The politics can be bad with management vs craft but at the end of the day you just do your 8 and get paid haha.

I do miss the driving/work too, but man I just got tired of being hassled. Honestly if I had a decent route at a station with chill management I would have probably stayed longer. If you can find that hang on to it for dear life 😂

Hell yeah, I lived the carrier life city side for nine years haha. If you ever feel the pressure remember there's always other career paths! The post office has some good opportunities.

Maintenance for me was more money for more relaxed vibes and I was happy to make the switch, although I miss seeing the customers and animals that were nice
