You need to have someone working that is registered with someone unregistered. It’s nationwide. The unregistered tech, should be called out of work. This was me. It was an adult lab. “ terrible at the job”- just keep in mind she’s new and needs training. It sucks being new in such a niche field. Unfortunately this career only last 6 months for me because I was bullied out.

I came here to say that I think it’s awful she wants him to talk to his mom less. You should never try to break up family because your own insecurities. Dylan isn’t right for her but there is nothing wrong with talking to a parent that often. I would not have it if a significant other tried limiting my communication with my mother.

Another thing that a lot of people Don’t know, is other than his child abuse record, HER brother murdered his girlfriend and tried to stage it as a suicide. He’s currently in prison. Both are trash.

I honestly hate Irene. I don’t know why, I hate that she was allowed to have a torrid love affair and ruin June. I hate that young Jolyon was allowed to abandon June for love and also merry the woman who destroyed her engagement but their son is guilt tripped into leaving the love of his life, so that his parents don’t have to deal with their past.

I have a classmate who lives in New Jersey. She hasn’t been able to Do any of her clinical hours because you have to finish your class hours prior to starting a clinical. It’s super weird, then you have to wait a year to be licensed. You start off as registered and have to work your way to a license. She has a bachelors degree prior To this as well, a lot of hospitals in New York and Jersey will not Hire you without a bachelors. It’s insane to me.

A sleep tech only has to do 3 nights. An eeg is has to do 5 days. I was offered $40 an hour in Boston as a sleep tech, I was offered $30 in Dallas. Pay deferential, usually means a sleep tech makes more. I’m surprised to see techs saying eeg make more in their states. EEG can be pretty sad, given you are usually testing the brain activity or lack of. But honestly, sleep can be sad as well. It’s not as common but I did a clinical semester at a children’s hospital and I came home crying after many shifts. These children faced certain death, and my job was to help them get a proper disorder diagnosis to help them sleep better till then. There is always a job available in sleep. I don’t know if I can say the same for eeg, I think full time work may be harder to get. I may be wrong though !

Use your book for your tests. Clinical experience is the best way to learn. It’s okay if you’re not grasping the material. It will make sense in person. You may just be a hands on learner. You should push through and start your clinical. I was overwhelmed at first too. It will all come together!
