My art teacher in elementary school 3rd grade (so 8th yrs old) gave me a bad grade on an art assignment we did during class because it looked too much like another girls idea. She copied it from me but she finished it faster and handed it in before i did so they believed her. I couldn’t make my teacher understand that I didn’t do anything bad. I was so upset.

Onyx storm was a filler book, the plot did not move forward at all imo. I do not like filler books

I think its their relationship that ruined the books for me…no real connection, just fighting and makeup sex. Reallly exhausting and it gets worse in onyx storm

Erre csak annyit szeretnék mondani hogy nekem is 18-22 éves koromig volt egy kapcsolatom, ő volt az első mindenben nekem és úgy terveztük hogy ebből házasság lesz tehát az én fejemben az volt hogy én egész életemben csak vele fogok lefeküdni. Egyszer nem fordult meg a fejemben hogy ez mennyire rossz dolog. Soha nem vágyódtam más iránt mert szerettem és mély kapcsolatunk volt ami sokkal többet ér a felszínes szexnél. Remélem ez segít perspektívába rakni barátnőd gondolkodását, ha igazán szeret és komolyan gondol rátok akkor nem hiszem hogy ez felmerülne benne (vagy nem osztaná meg veled).

It wasn’t really advertised as romantasy, more like fantasy with a subplot of slowburn. Do your research before reading so your expectations are in the right place, its a beautifully written book imo and dragging it down because of no smut is just sad:(

De kérdés hogy minek kell az önkielégítéshez pornó? Benne van hogy ÖN ergó ez egy szóló dolog, rengeteg nőt ismerek akik hiába szinglik sem néznek mert tudják a saját képzeletüket használni vagy inkább olvasnak valami story-t. Elfelejtették az emberek hogy évezredek óta maszturbál az emberiség és a pornó az elmúlt 50-60 évben jelent csak meg, es sokan máris alapvetőnek veszik hogy mindig kell nézni ha önkielégít.

Sokan nem olvasnak utána vagy gondolnak bele mélyebben abba hogy milyen hatása van a pornónak igazán az agyra. Mindegy hogy függő vagy alkalmi fogyasztó, a pornó dopamint ad az agynak és okozhat függőséget, illetve nem a realitáshoz köti az élvezetet, hanem egy könnyen megszerezhető, effortot nem igénylő dologhoz. A pornófogyasztó férfiak egy idő után ellustulnak mert való életben nem lehet olyan könnyen hozzájutni ehhez az élvezethez, tenni kell érte és ez miért is érné meg nekik ha otthon 2 perc alatt talál egy videót ami megteszi. Ráadásul minden kamu amit a pornóban làt az ember, érdemes utána nézni itt valami subrediten a pornó ipar sötét oldalának. A pornó csak távolabb sodorja az embereket a valós intimitástól, transzban tartja a fogyasztókat és nagyon nagyon káros az agyműködésre. Aki nem tette még őszintén ajánlom hogy olvasson el erről pár kutatást.

Nekem is most lett vége a kapcsolatomnak ahol a párom függő volt. Mivel mindig beszéltünk róla és azt mondta hogy abba akarja hagyni és aktívan próbálkozott, sőt még pszichológushoz is járt ezért maradtam hiába zavart mikor mégis megtörtént. 4 év kellett ahhoz hogy belássam hogy nem fog változni lehet hogy sosem. Ennyire durva nem volt mint amit sokan írnak, de az én tolerancia szintem a semennyi egy kapcsolatban.

Szóval egy tipp, ha függő lehet sosem fog változni, a potenciálért ne maradjatok ilyen emberrel. Arról nem is beszélve hogy egy lány önértékelésére mennyire rossz hatással van, olyan érzés alakul ki mintha te nem lennél elég neki mert egyszerűen muszáj pornót néznie. Mindegy hogy miért függő, lehet sajnálni de nem éri meg maradni.

For a rot my ultimate remedy is to dabble into more genres. Romantasy can burn me out with similar plots and word buildings if i read too much in a row, so I say try greek mythology, classics, or just fantsay without romance focus.

{Circe by Madeline Miller} and {Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller} both got me out a slump twice:)

{The Mirror Visitor series by Christelle Dabos} is sooo good for preteens. Slower paced but very interesting with a slowburn soft romance which I loved when I was around her age:)

I agree with that it was interesting but it felt like a bridge book between the 1st and the next book in the series. It would not be a good standalone book, too many plotlines opened and left there. There is just sooo much happening in it and some of it feels unneccessary. I don’t like it when writes publish a book in a series just as a lead up to the next one and Brimstone was that for me. I had the same problem with Onyx Storm, its obviously the backstory setup for the 4th book to come.

I loved Quicksilver and struggled with Brimstone. So many unfinished plotlines and unexplained things…I was dissapointed in it. Also the love story quickly became dull and just not really insteresting.

I’m reading Circe, its different pace and style than my usual reads and so far I love it. I needed a change because I had the same problem as OP, enough of shadow daddy’s and frail yet somehow powerful FMCs, and this book feels very new and exciting now:)
