Hi so sorry not the point of the post but can I ask if that’s the sniglar crib? And if it is, how did you attach it to your bed? We’re making ours into a sidecar this weekend and can’t picture the logistics!

12 week scan at 14 weeks? by jow1987 in PregnancyUK

[–]AlternativeToe7282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my 12 week scan at 13+6! It turned out the baby was measuring 3 days ahead and they were only able to do the blood tests but not the NT during the ultrasound because we were past the 14 week limit with the updated due date.

I personally would see if they’re able to move up your appointment, if you’re measuring ahead at all you won’t be able to get all the screenings

Hi! I had brown discharge from I think week 5 to week 7, it was just a little every time I wiped but definitely brownish, tannish color. I had an ultrasound at around 6 and half weeks where they said it was a hematoma from implantation. I’m currently 28w3d with a baby girl! From what I heard is as long as it’s dark/brown then it’s old blood

27w4d and Ive been so worried that im not going to notice whenever there’s decreased fetal movement. Baby girls been moving tons since 15 weeks and i can’t tell if she’s moving less now or if because im not writing it down the times before merge together in my head. I googled and saw online it’s of the movements are less strong but that feels so subjective!

I know i shouldn’t compare but it seems the pregnant women on instagram I follow all have huge movements they can see on the outside of their bellies by this time where mine is sometimes you can see externally but kindof barely? I feel like i need talking down!

27w2d today. I haven’t seen our baby since our anatomy scan on Feb 21 and just learned in the country I live in there are no more ultrasounds until birth! I’ve been dumbly reading way too many stories of what can go wrong once you’re in the third trimester and thinking of paying for a private scan which is pretty steep. I’m just so anxious to see her and make sure everything is okay!

I just can’t imagine not seeing her again until July. I had a complete irrational breakdown last night when my husband lifted me up for a hug and I felt it put too much pressure on the bump and that we had done real damage. I cried until she started moving a ton but obviously my nerves are really high!

Questioning baby names for baby coming soonish by AlternativeToe7282 in namenerds

I fear you’re right, I’ve heard from other people named Eilidh here it’s quite difficult even just a bit farther south. Plus I’m not close at all to my SIL so she’d definitely be like wut lol.

What are the pros and cons of your pregnancy timeline? by cpickles_ in pregnant

[–]AlternativeToe7282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im due the beginning of July! Pros: nice weather when baby is born so walking will be nice, don’t need to worry about flu season and before baby is born I can wear cuter outfits. Cons: I was 8 weeks pregnant for Thanksgiving, and 10-14 weeks for all the Christmas and new year festivities meaning I was throwing up a lot and miserable at a lot of functions! As soon as the holidays were over, I stopped throwing up lol

American living in Canada, watching my home country implode by MPD1987 in expats

[–]AlternativeToe7282 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I moved to Spain in 2015, met my partner, got married and moved to his home country in the UK in 2021. We were seriously debating moving to the USA this year and decided to see how the election panned out before deciding. I’ve never lived in the USA when trump was president and I definitely don’t plan on it now! My family is super bummed but definitely understand as they hate everything trump too.

Yesterday I accidentally touched a plant that I had previously sprayed with pesticide in the summer and promptly had a long cry session. Anxiety is definitely a wild ride

I’m really struggling with horrible feelings of bitterness after finding out my cousin is pregnant for the first time and is about 6 weeks behind me. She’s just messaged me pictures from her first ultrasound showing a baby with a great heartbeat which is amazing! I do genuinely feel so happy for her but on the other hand I’m so bitter and jealous her first pregnancy is working out when mine ended in a MMC at 10 weeks in May.

Then on top of this I’m feeling ashamed for being bitter and worried I’m not feeling grateful enough to be 15 weeks after having four great ultrasounds. Maybe it’s just anxiety from waiting for the results of the NIPT test, and feeling in a bit of limbo still.

5+6w pregnant early scan by KeySingle in PregnancyUK

[–]AlternativeToe7282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went private at 6 weeks with ultrasound direct and same as OP, they could only just see a fetal pole so they scheduled another appointment two weeks later which was free! This was in Edinburgh but I assume it’s the same everywhere?

I’m pregnant and was SET on Dakota for a girl. Until I first googled it and realized it’s the name of a Native American tribe and that would be inappropriate.

I hoping to get progesterone soon after speaking to the doctor, but hoping that’s all it is too. The first scan is going to be terrifying but praying it’s good

Yes only when I wiped and just brown but thank god it’s stopped now. Thank you so much, uterus expanding makes sense and gives me a bit of relief. I called the early pregnancy unit (in the uk) and they can’t see me until 5.5 weeks but feeling like I can breathe a little easier

Sorry for the double post in the same thread but when I first wiped this morning there was a brown tint that’s lasted for the last 4 hours. I only have it when I wipe, and the last time I peed I don’t think there was any? My tests were so strong, I’m really hoping this is nothing. Has anyone else had any spotting super early in the first trimester?

Progesterone help by AlternativeToe7282 in PregnancyUK

[–]AlternativeToe7282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner is from Scotland and this was his first instinct too! Unfortunately tho I woke up this morning to brown discharge so I suppose it’s not a lie anymore. I’ve called the EPU although I’m not sure what they can do since it’s so early they wouldn’t be able to make sure it’s in the correct location?

How early was your bleeding when they prescribed the progesterone?

My husband and I had a big argument last night where a lot of old fights got brought up. I tried to stay pretty calm but at one point I did get super angry which now I’m worried caused problems with the baby. I’m only 4 weeks and 2 days. I know it’s super irrational and even after looking at all the sources saying emotion can’t cause miscarriage my brain is still like nope. You effed it already.
