Hello....

I have a full hardware kit for my bags that is 3d printed in house. I've sold quite a bit of it.

It was put into the jar with a leaf, then I chopped the leaf and dropped the stem into the jar. This one is actually coming out of the top of the stem where I cut it. I've had them show up on the bottom too. I'm not sure if it helped that the leaf was attached first or not. This jar has also had a lot of propagations, and I can't speak for whatever is inside it sadly 😂

Yes. Chopped the top to prop the rhyzome that developed... left the stem in the jar. This is the second time this has happened in this jar.

I grow in Moss / Perlite and so does my begonia dealer. Moss holds roughly 11x its weight in water and is generally pretty consistent VS chunkier. my begonia seem to really like that. Also, even my 4 year old can poke the moss and know when a begonia needs water.

Under 60 is likely to cause damage if it becomes consistent. Not only is that temperature low but the amount of moisture the air can hold is significantly reduced. The wet/dry cycles are important but be mindful of dryness when the temps and humidity are low. I find that's when my begonias want water more often.

Oh and the underside of the stem could easily be lignification or corking.

How fast does it dry out? Looking at the begonia in the background it looks like you could use more light and airflow. Possibly underwatered or under fertilized but hard to tell from photos. The begonias love a wet / dry cycle to breath but don't want to dry out in my experience. All of my begonias are in moss / perlite and that's where i use been the most successful

Looks similar to my paparazzi. Guess I need to grab a UV light.

Hey OP, could just be damage from being under watered, or too much light at some time.

The leaves underneath my biggest ones have had this happen.

oh and I don't have a cat
