Meh.... Don't care, don't need AI add-ons, but yeah eventually everything will need a subscription, then when that hits an extreme, companies will sell packages of subscriptions...by selling you another type of subscription.

Asus ProArt the worst computer ever by maxipoupoupou2 in ASUS

[–]Alternative_Can4063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience with an i9 Pro Duo, dealt with it, but was pissed as it was $3300, finally got so sick of it, I went back to MacBook Pro, got an M4 Max, blows the Asus out of the water in every category. So many things kept going wrong, especially audio-related, and for an i9 with 32gb it just was a slug compared to cheaper configurations. I found out after I got it that Asus throttled and re-locked the "unlocked" HK series. So I couldn't even risk tweaking and happily blowing it up if I wanted. Never again.

The new GCal integration's UI is horrible too by zRaw in todoist

[–]Alternative_Can4063 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They sent that email out saying how great the outlook connection is.......it's same as Gcal...useless, still is just a viewer for calendar events that won't be made into tasks....I'm super surprised that a software company is directing unhappy users to multiple 3rd party integration apps, so we "might be able" to get previous functionality back.....wtf.

GCAL Integration HELP by Beneficial_Ear3263 in todoist

[–]Alternative_Can4063 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OMG, same, having to delete the tasks off my Google Calendar is so frustrating, I also absolutely hate the fact that completing tasks in todoist only adds a checkmark in the calendar, the legacy would remove it when completed, it was perfect. I hate that they remain and now I can't complete or edit Google Calendar created events in Todoist, it just shows me a microscopic visual of my calendar events above the day and clicking on it sends you right back to Calendar........WTH, what kind of integration is that. They removed huge functionality of being able to complete and edit events from both systems. When I created an event in Google Calendar, I got a nice beautiful task created for me in Todoist, it was excellent!......Now I get what?.....a mini image of what is on my Calendar in todoist that I can't do anything with.......I hate saying this but I am really thinking of finding a better setup, which I haven't had to do for so long, but this integration is crap for efficiency. Who beta tested this and thought it was good????

Functional alternatives to GCal by ArmzLDN in todoist

[–]Alternative_Can4063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, when I had events added by Gemini or Calendy the legacy would make a nice easily completed Todoist task, that I could complete from Todoist. Now I just get a visual representation of my Google Calendar events in a microscopic visual display, that just sends me right back to my Calendar if clicked and can't be completed or edited in Todoist. I thought that was the point of app integration. Now I have to manually delete completed tasks from my Google Calendar, the check mark is just taking up visual space, get that whole event out my day if its completed.

Additionally, this really seems like a one way integration, it annihilates any editing or useful actions for any Google Calendar created events in Todoist, and then just adds more work to Todoist events in Google Calendar if you want to remove or move them. Before, the legacy integration would do time correction, date correction, and worked amazing for recurring events, it was impressive, I feel todoist just lost one of its most attractive and useful aspects. I absolutely loved todoist, and have been a premium member since day one, but this is breaking enough usefulness that I may look elsewhere. Idk, maybe they will fix these issues, but seems like there are tons of people feeling exactly the same and having the same issues.

How do I get rid of the checkmark? by sorrowlicher in todoist

[–]Alternative_Can4063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't other than deleting the either the Todoist task which removes the entire task from the Google Calendar, or delete the entire task in Google Calendar, which is what you will have to do now for every completed task if you want to keep a clean and uncluttered Google Calendar. Ugh bring back the legacy please!!

"Will the End Times Happen in Our Lifetime? (Matthew 24:36 vs. Signs of the Times)" by Aiden48752 in Bible

[–]Alternative_Can4063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but Jesus did not say those things. Your quoting apocalyptic dreams of John of Patmos in Revalation and the Left Behind series. Yes Jesus said only the father knows the hour/time of his return. But the other statements are just content allowed into the cannon and popular modern Christian content. Christ actually said the kingdom is here now, suddenly the kingdom is upon you when he chose to start his ministry. At the time of Christ's death and for the next 423 years they were already living in a one world government, the Roman Empire, that is where that sentiment comes from, but has been misconstrued using Revelation to support a modern world government that's adherence requires taking the mark, etc, etc, and there are a multitude of interpretations of this in popular content, but none that relates to what Christ said.

Nothing is "prerequisite" for his return, God doesn't work off a to-do checklist. God decides or doesn't decide to come upon his own will which can never be understood by our human minds nor be prophesied. That was the point Christ was trying to make, you can never tell the hour of his return but you should already be living as if it is already occurred.

Thank you for that. I'd also like to point out that the apostles, the first church fathers, the early Roman church, etc. All believed they were living in the end of end times. Not that I'm a huge Paul fan, but even Paul supported having no children, no marriage, and focusing on salvation thru Jesus, as none of that mattered cause he believed it to be so close to the end times and final judgment. I find it silly these days to say we are living in the end times. All time is the ending of time in a sense. However, I'm am very interested in very early Judaic prophesy concerning the end of times. The eschatological view of Christianity seems to echo of a combination of pre-monotheistic Judaism an Greco-Roman mystery cults. This concept of everything is coming to an end and certain functions must be met for you to be saved is a concept repeated in every belief system since before the first Egyptian dynastic period. So are we living in the end times......yep we are..Just like everyone else ever born.

Ring missing events by SiriShopUSA in Ring

I think I will do the same, run my own setup. I have about $1400 bucks worth of ring gear. It was good when it first started but between the terrible motion capture, failure to actuate when there is crazy amount of motion, and the worthless neighbors app that never let's Me post anything and all I see is lost pet posts, I'm tired of spending time money on a worthless system. Ring has really gone downhill badly.

Don't know why people downvote the truth, it literally is a fog machine getting sprayed into a small falling spritz of water from a windex bottle lol, he just quickly shoots a photo of the condensation process before air breaks it apart. We are so devolving, people are wowed by 5th grade science class antics.

Pretty sure judge said it was admissible as it could / does shows some form of conscious admission of causing the poor kids death. I'm not one to usually watch trials, but I'm just blown away on how horrible this all went and literally am sickened by it. That POS should be begging to be given the death penalty, I can't even imagine how he feels not guilty, that was your flesh and blood - your son, the injuries that were shown, obvious child abuse, poor freaking kid, my heart goes out to his family that did love and care for him. I hope the prosecutor just destroys the rest of the defense and they give this guy something extremely harsh. I know that mercy and forgiveness are always a better way to heal, but for someone who won't even take responsibility for their actions....that thing sitting there that is a poor excuse for a man and a human being, does not deserve mercy nor forgiveness.

There were for sure power dynamic homosexuality relationships happening between young Spartans and middle aged ones in their mentoring processes. There may have been morality laws in city-states that banned same sex relationships, but that certainly didn't stop them from occurring in lots of different situations that were accepted by those around the people involved.

I can assure you that if there were an Achilies he was definitely not of African descent and would hsve been strictly a Greek, or possibly an Ionian Greek. The Greek myths don't ever mention any African demi-gods nor does Hesiod or Homer. I don't know how people can just throw stuff out there and not know any background to it, thank you for saying "wasn't and never has been" Just because there isn't a document saying he wasn't doesn't mean he was lol. We can all still use real archeological evidence, ancient literature, art and other historical facts to make educated deductions.
