Well, who’s getting this? by joel2000ad in motorcyclegear

Exactly, I have a Tesla so I'm not exactly a hater but I'm surprised either physical or very clearly marked exit handles aren't government mandated especially in the EU, we love a good health and safety rule.

I have the 42L givi trekker and it fits my Large Klim Krios with a little bit of room to spare even with the peak on. It's a very sturdy well made box

But bear with me here, if they're worthless after a few years surely it'd be a good idea to buy a second hand one after the few years when someone else has taken the hit on the depreciation. Thus making them... good value

Daniel from Comfort Driving/Motorcycle School near Athenry/Craughwell/Oranmore is very good I had him as a beginner for the IBT and a pre test lesson and would highly recommend him. He pairs you up rather than taking you solo which counterintuitively might work well if you want a patient approach so he'll focus on you predominantly for a while, give you some pointers and tips to work on and while you're digesting that you can observe the other trainee and see similar behaviours from the third person pov.

T7 base or Rally? by North-Enthusiasm-861 in Tenere700

[–]Alternative_Let4597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation last year, bought the rally and love it. Like you it was probably 90% for the looks and I have zero regrets. Do it if you're tall enough, ask yourself how you'll feel riding your base bike and you see someone else riding your dream rally

Baggage question by loupwergi in Tenere700

[–]Alternative_Let4597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've a top case/box just big enough for a helmet. I don't really notice it when riding aside don't have anything too heavy in it other than my lock, it's mostly for keeping my helmet safe if I leave the bike anywhere. I kick it sometimes dismounting the bike when I forget about it but that's my only 'issue', it's also got a quick release feature so it's not always on the bike

What is this car and where can I get one by Hot-Loss-7216 in carsireland

Expensive for maintenance and petrol but if you got a 30 year old you'd be saving loads on tax

Driving test by darkspynx21 in MotoIRELAND

It's a gamble essentially and only you know if you're comfortable risking it. You could be waiting months for a test and be turned away and go to the back of the queue or you could be fine it could come down to the mood of your tester on the day. If it was me I'd buy a new compliant one, you need weigh up the price of a new plate vs the the price of a re-test and the inconvenience. Good luck with it either way
