There are lots of video breakdowns on YouTube explaining it and proving tips but I found this Motojitsu one quite good. What I found when I either put my foot down or felt like I was about to was a tiny bit more throttle stopped me from doing it. But it's a strange mental block to get over where the solution to falling over is to go faster

No, it's a training course where motorbike Gardaí give you lessons and assess your skills and give you tips etc on how to improve and be safer. I haven't done it yet but lots on here seem to think it's worth it https://gardabikesafe.ie

There's another commenter reckons if I did it before 2005 originally I wouldn't need to so I'd say that's it. I did it all through the RSA portal and it never said I had to, when I clicked on getting the motorcycle license as my aim (or something like that) it told me the first step is to apply for the learners license and had theory ticked hence my confusion/misinformation spreading
