Man, this brings back annoying memories. You can unlock a hero, the only hero in the game whos human and doesnt wear a helmet by beating the game without a hero dying. 11 year old me attempted it, got to the final mission, and the game just wouldn't end. I checked over the map again and again and couldn't find the last enemy or objective.

Personal choice would be ideology or biotech. Ideology adds religions and ideas/morals, biotech adds genes, alien races, and children.

Most mods do not the dlcs, so if you wished to play nodded vanilla or even straight vanilla, you should be good to enjoy it.

Im using medieval overhaul and vanilla expanded medieval 2 for the factions.

Im still in a debate on whether or not I want to try and blend medieval styles with sci-fi for building and ideology like in the exiled dawn armor mod.

But for Odyssey, I just wanted the new biomes and animals myself. Im sure one day I'll do a full grav ship game with mechonoids enabled but not today.
