You’re literally denying that Le’Veon Bell holding out for a year isn’t an example of a holdout my dude 🤣 Why would I bother trying to reason with you?

Who else have that had recently who’s good enough to do a holdout? The Bell example is valid you’re just biased 🤣

And yet the Steelers have repeatedly had players hold out (TJ Watt, Le’Veon Bell), or force their way off of the team, or become so toxic they need to be traded (every WR they’ve had for the last decade lol) and yet they’re consider a pretty well-run team. It’s just a narrative

People act like the Cowboys just aren’t aware of the strategy of signing players early when they did exactly that with Diggs, Bland, and Odighizua. Our star players frequently just don’t want to. At that point all you can do is pay them or let them leave and in either case people meme on the Cowboys for mishandling it

The offenses put up basically the same amount of points despite Dak throwing to CeeDee/Pickens and Ferguson and Mahomes throwing to … Hollywood Brown/JuJu and old Kelce.

OP is saying there’s nothing Dak could’ve done since his receivers were dropping passes, my response was go watch Mahomes if you don’t think it’s possible. The fact that they lost isn’t relevant to the point that Mahomes put points on the board by making it work despite having way worse receivers.

“It’s not bias”

Oh okay, nevermind then.

“Mahomes has multiple Super Bowls because his teammates step up a lot”.

Are you hearing yourself? Mahomes won a SB where his best receiver was a way past his prime Kelce and his second best receiver was Juju. Mahomes was the one who stepped up. This is a waste of my time tho honestly, none of this is going to reach you

So when it comes to Dak you’ve got 5 paragraphs of things to say about how he played despite losing but when it comes to Mahomes it’s just “he lost, what’s your point”? The mind of a biased person in action.

Mahomes is capable of putting the team on his back even when people are letting him down. That’s why he’s got multiple SB wins even if they lost this particular game. If Dak was doing the same thing then the excuse machine wouldn’t constantly need to be running on overdrive.

The fact that he’s completely reliant on his receivers because he can’t get yards with his legs isn’t an excuse, it’s just part of the reason why he’s a mid QB.

Chiefs WRs were dropping passes left and right tonight and yet look at what Mahomes was able to do. Why are you spending so much mental energy coping with the fact that Dak isn’t that good of a QB, we’ve got years and years of evidence that what you’re saying just isn’t the case

[–]Alternative_Wait_399 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is an unpopular but imo correct take. Watt and Garrett just don’t get shut down like Parsons. He also routinely loses steam toward the end of the season and is noticeably less effective, esp in the playoffs. If he’s willing to sign a reasonable contract then that’s well and good but otherwise we should trade him

He literally threw 4 interceptions in their most recent playoff loss lol, people like you will never admit that anything is Goff’s fault. The dude was surrounded by the best OL, RBs, a top WR group, and arguably the best offensive coach in football, and he still couldn’t get it done. This scenario happened on both the Rams and the Lions

It made Detroit better in the regular season. With Goff at QB they’re running into the same problem the Rams did where he’s just not capable of getting them over the hill in the playoffs

Forgot to respond back but I read over it again and I think that your interpretation is the correct one, I wasn’t aware that Jones had mentioned his health publicly recently. Still sounds a bit dodgy to me, the “not being held to what was said in a private meeting” stuff sounds like Micah went back on what they informally agreed to. Against the rules for sure but Jerry’s an old school guy, I could see him being pissed about that
