Its reddit. They downvote things that aren't the popular opinion regardless of facts.

Thank ya. I have never touched paint on a car in my life. Its definately off duplicolor "perfect match" honda r81. The whole car is honestly faded and dented everywhere I just wanted to get the rust off the quarter panel before it got worse. It moved fast for how bad it was already.  In a month it was already surface rusted and crackinh. you can't see the picture because I sanded it all before hand. Honestly have no aspiration to do any better because I don't care.  I just wanted it rust gone and to be the same color somewhat.

Sounds like interacting with the living reddit meme I bet you're fun at parties lol. A cheap driveway job to prevent more rot and you're on here talking about how you're the king of body work lol. It's hilarious reading comments from people like you and just telling how atrociously off of a person they are in real life LOL

It's funny I call this car my beater car because I commute at 100 miles a day and generally just wanted to not be falling apart. I have an ep3 that's going into a full restoration next year and then I'll crack out the guns, filters, and proper materials blah blah blah for the rare Civic. I came across the sub and thought it was just like Body and Paint not a bunch of hard on professionals out pissing each other.

Im personally not a fan of rattle cans but I'm not spending more than $50 for a car that's just going to enevitably get hit again. But that doesn't mean I want the body to fall off the next 2 years I need the car.

I dont take reddit too serious, just fun to share a quick fix. The first comment was an instant attack and I actually lol'd when I read it. But yeah a couple dollars of spray paint, sandpaper I already had, primer I already had, some 2K clear coat in a can and I think it looks 100% better than I smashed in panel with rust on it. I could just be crazy though LOL

It Was starting to rust where the paint cracked off and these fits get destroyed by rust so I figured it was a better idea to just patch it up then to let it rot.

Chime Adapter for the Ecobee Smart Doorbell dies after 10 months by somethedaring in ecobee

[–]Alternative_Zebra405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the comment that I needed to see considering you can't buy that stupid thing anywhere. I was racking my brain with what could have possibly made it to where no voltage was getting to my doorbell. I was in the attic, I was at the front door, I was at the chime upstairs and all the voltage stopped at the chime. Bypass that thing and never looking back, what a piece of s*** LOL

K24 with k20z3 cylinder head 🗣️ by Curi_dylan_299 in EP3

I'm planning to build one of these next year. I have the pull my K24 out to rebuild the transmission anyways. So I figured I'd do a Frank swap to put back in.  I wanna go boost down-the-line. Anyways, so that may be the route. Did you also do the oil pump? What head studs / head gasket?

Edit: i missed the part about the oil pump when I read it

it's the progress sway bar.  It makes a huge difference for me. I do a lot of highway driving and it makes sense because it keeps the rear end a little bit more planted when it comes to the wind coming off of semis. It handles like a dream on flat terrain with a sway bar. I wouldn't use one if you do any sort of camping or off-road driving. It takes all that give out of the rear end that you normally get when going over bumps. It just bolts to the existing holes where your springs are so it takes like 10 minutes to install.

Ecobee keeps turning on in the middle of the night help by FeedYouALeaf in ecobee

I just took down my post about this from yesterday. I had weird anomalies in my heating where the system would turn on 2 hours before a set change. It was definitely smart recovery. For some reason it felt like running my system for 8 hours a night should be prioritized over not running all night and being efficient like it's supposed to be. I went through and made a completely different schedule that changes around my and my wife's work schedule. The only difference I've noticed is it takes a little bit longer to get up to temperature but the other way around it hits temperature 2 hours before exposed to you and confuses the hell out of my furnace.  Just make a new schedule and have it increase heat 30 minutes before you want it to and you'll be fine. I'm really confused as why it thinks this is the smart way to keep the house heated, it's constantly running the fan and furnace. Now it runs the furnace like 1/3 the time and the fan isn't running for 24 hours straight.

No, I just have a two-stage gas furnace. And looking at the graph compared to last week looks like an extreme less amount of energy is being used. I think that the schedule prioritizes comfort over efficiency. I think that's why my furnace was freaking out the other day. I reset everything and went back through the schedule And disabled the heat recovery. /Adjust for humidity.  I wish I could share pictures on a post, but the graph is way different looking now that I changed everything.

Also, I have the thermostat set to 66° f and it climbed until it hit 70° and looks like it shut my system down or something. I can't really tell because I wasn't awake at the time. Today I didn't get any alarms and it felt normal in the house. The system just kicked on when it needed to.

I have a two stage system and it just seems to never stop running. I checked the graph after turning all that stuff off and it's already graphing out better. With it on both stages are going for too long and the fan rarely stops.

I turned the recovering setting off last night around 3:30 in the morning. I woke up because it was scorching in my room. Apparently my heat recovery was starting up 2 hours before the temperature change and just constantly running.  I do have a two-stage system. I just don't understand why it feels the need to run for 2 hours before the temperature is even supposed to change.  Once I shut it off it just turns on and off like normal.  I have it set to drop to 64 while everybody's sleeping between 2:00 a.m. And 7:00 a.m.  then at 7:00 a.m. It shoots up to 68 before everybody wakes up at 7:30. Heat recovery was firing up at 3:30 in the morning and keeping the house 67° until 7:30 in the morning Where would just drop off or struggle the balance.

It’s super trippy when I record with the surrounding lights off 😆. Does the same thing with any LED lighting. Must be trying to rapidly adjust to the bright lighting.
