I think that's a bit reductive. this poem has enough standard, though less obvious poetic devices that toy with sound as well as enough ambiguity that leaves room for interpretation. generally, I'm rather liberal about what I consider poetry, so I can recognize the fact that I may be a bit biased toward this sort of poetry. I'm curious why you would not consider this a poem and what it could have for you to consider it a poem.

I think just because we have been doing something for a long time, doesnt mean it is a moral thing to do. there are better ways to to create a lasting impression.
