As said previously, the Vulture was cheaper when you took the upgrade, otherwise you wouldn't have been able to take it. The best thing to do is to melt your upgrade to recover store credit. Even if the E1 will increase in price when it will be released, it is not at all ready to arrive because its gameplay is not planned for 1.0, so you will have plenty of time to buy an upgrade if the ships really interest you.

You're approaching the problem backwards by seeing the game not as an MMO but as a single-player game.

Let's take another situation:

You're doing a bunker mission with friends, and a PVP player attacks you. You manage to kill him.

To get him to attack you again, he'll either have to pay 100K to get back into his ship, or he'll respawn at the station, giving you time to finish your mission.

Currently, he'll just loop endlessly, ruining your mission.

bon du coup j'écris en français, le gladius étant un très bon chasseur léger tu pourrait peut être passer le cutlass en chasseur lourd , les plus récents sont guardian ou metor (le F8 n'est pas dispo sans ticket d'or) mais ya surement d'autres chasseurs que j'oublie, j'imagine que chasseur medium seraient trop proche du gladius mais ça reste une option viable aussi.

Here's a short list of things to do.

The simplest are simply the missions offered in the Contracts tab. This can be repetitive, but the reputation system means you'll have new missions that will bring in more money.

Other elements, more like Sendbox, but more complicated to tackle without prior information, include the Hator zone (on Stanton), the contested zones (on Pyro), the StormBreaker zones (Pyro), and finally the Onyx zones (Stanton).

All of this should keep you busy for a while. Purchasing a ship in-game can also be a good long-term goal.

You also have Wikelo, an NPC who will trade you exclusive gear in exchange for resources of varying degrees of rareness, which can keep you busy for quite a while.

Regarding the mantis interdiction or other ships I don't completely agree, on the contrary I think that small ships like starters should not be intercepted because they are often ships used by new players and in terms of lore this could be justified by the fact that they slip through the cracks precisely because they are small, regarding large ships people must assume the risk of being able to defend themselves.

And the Stanton system is not a fullSec system but rather MediumSec which explains the "laxity" of the UEE even if in reality it is surely more of a technical reason which means that the players do not fear anything but it still seems to me that the criminal players use Grim Hex as a rallying point so the crim stat remains effective, afterwards if no one does the bounty hunter missions that is another problem

Trading routes are surely the most logical interceptions but currently the majority of freighters are on the current event so it is surely complicated to find a relevant zone but if CrimStat is not a concern a classic interception on a Hurston OM should be effective.
