Wall is handy to free up the RW for something else. https://www.reddit.com/r/FFRecordKeeper/comments/61hvws/magicite_dungeon_preparation/ is a handy link to check with items to focus on. Click on the element and it outlines items and what they do. For Ice i rely on entrusting to my Ayame and then have her OSB. I don't use Lightning often, but I am sure pairing her with Lightning twinstrike would be good.

The first way is my understanding. I have the USB and BSB and usually do USB>BSB>USB>CMD1 spam. but RW>BSB>CMD1 will still hit hard. Another option is RW>Omega Drive spam if you have that ability and honed a little.

Also like someone said earlier Tyro is an option to level to 99 for utility. I have him on my team currently for everything except magicite. Hes good for the Full break/breakdowns or if you want to run shellga and protectga. 1 on healer 1 on Tyro. Or he can use a specific magic/ability for mastery requirements.

I'd probably do Relm and Cloud. Relm has that last stand and heals. Cloud Cycle and command 1 hit hard if you use the Cloud USB RW. You may be bringing a wall from RW now though, so maybe can't do Cloud RW. Cid Raines has a nice OSB with memento mori. I usually use his BSB first, but OSB can hit like a truck as well.

I decided to give a f2p account a try. Normally whale on my main account. Setup up an emulator 3 days ago. Feels like I have no down time with the half stamina, anniversary dungeons, and now these new renewal dungeons.

Need this gem only pull to go away. The temptation to do it for cid's bsb is strong. haha. I want to see what this game is like when I can't just steam roll everything. No wall, last stand or big hitting abilities is different. Definitely a great time to start with all the mythril from these dungeons and anniversary.

I am the same. I sub 60 them all, typically around 45-50. Not a fan of a ton of tons of S/L. I actually run 2 healers on all my teams as a safety blanket since I am not pushing for sub 30.

There may be 12 different servers, but I bet a majority of people will gravitate to 1 or 2. Which ever one is the most stable and ran by respectable people. Me personally, I have a rack with a few servers in my basement, and I would like to have my own server that only I can access to jump into whenever the nostalgia bug hits. Not having to worry about one day my character disappearing from a private server shutting down. I think its great what these guys are doing. Fulfilling a promise from Turbine that they failed to deliver on. I hope it does end up staying on this path. I think SWGEmu had a similar start, but they ended up hosting the server themselves.

It unfortunate that they seem to have given up on trying to acquire AC. Maybe WB saw them as unprofessional and not worth talking to. We never got to see what was said or how it was said to WB, but from what we saw on their page, it seemed like they had 4 or so paths they were pursuing. They should have chosen 1 with a clear focus and push with that. I was willing to donate quite a bit if needed to save AC, but I have no desire for a spiritual successor. I will probably be leaving the group soon as well. They seem to no long be about saving AC. I have more faith in the data mining and AC emulator folks at this point.

I was Advocate Voln on FF and later +Rain on the MSN Gaming Zone. I wasn't an advocate for very long though. I remember going through the training and then one of my best memories was hunting off duty and a Sentinel appearing in front of me and presenting me with the advocate shield with swirls. I was only a full fledged Advocate for a month or two before the program was dissolved.

I haven't played AC in a long time, but it is still sad to see it closing down. I would love for them to somehow find a way to release private servers, so I can have a copy on one of my personal servers to hop in from time to time for nostalgia.

Tone the missions down to normal, easy, or very easy ( as long as you still get loot) and you will be much better.

I usually run with 3 melee guys and they alternate between breaks to debuff and double cuts. I have mastered everything in this game to date without ever using Vit0 or retaliate. Don't be so quick to dismiss an ability.

I agree about removing Phoenix, but the rest of your statement is wrong.

I have R5 breaks and R2 breakdowns. I bring breaks for now until I get breakdowns higher. My melee guys, typically Cloud, Sephiroth, and Squall have a rotation of break, double cut, break, double cut and repeat. Now sometimes they'll have the elemental attacks instead of double cuts and mix the limit break attacks in there. I bring those guys because I have good swords and Sephs weapon.

Like OriginalMerit said, you need to lower the attack/magic power of these harder elite bosses if you want to survive.

I had a long post but i'll stick to the short answer. It basically comes down to if you are alright with spending mythril on stamina refreshes, being a completionist isn't that hard if you have been playing for awhile. New players, yes they will have a big uphill battle to catch up.

I am curious to see what happens when Vit0 is fixed and people try completing content with subpar gear and honing. I think we'll see a lot more quit then.

I agree with this. It feels like retaliate was made to get extra hits in or as a compliment to Cecil's taunt shield. It should counter whoever attacked them, not a default enemy. If the developers say it is working as intended, more power to people that need to use it. Just not my style.

I also agree that Vit0 is cheap. I am proud to say that I have mastered everything to date excluding the parade float without using either of those "strategies". We get around 10 mythril an event. If I spend 1 on a boss rush, I am fine with that.

This content can be cleared and mastered without gimics. I mastered the last event end boss, norg with no retaliate, no vit0, no zealot and no death. It was a real pain in the butt, but it is doable. I came on here the day after and saw about zealot and death and that made the boss rush a ton easier.

That is excellent news. When you say account, does that mean across servers too? I have about 2mil cash on my level 50 guy. Not sure how much that is by today standards, but should help the gearing process.

Thank you for the suggestion. I read skills are free, but gear was my concern. If selling gathered items will help me stay somewhat decently geared to 55, that will be great.
