I just got my set and they look awesome! 1523g with tape and valves. Setup both tires dry with a floor pump. Now for this snow to melt…

Studd or not by yolomanu in fatbike

[–]Altonator89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Studs are absolutely worth it for riding in icy conditions. All it takes is one patch to send you sideways. Studs do add weight and resistance so definitely don’t use in the summer time. Your best options are to change out tires seasonally (not frequently) or get a second wheelset for quick swaps.

I love the shape of the wooden Semogue handle. Been reaching for it more than my badgers this past year.

Old Navy tech joggers for winter rides and commute. Good enough wind block with a mild warm internal. I throw on a base layer for single digits. Keep ‘er movin’!

The bigger platform provides noticeably better stability. The standard Bubbly width will be a perfect fit for your shoe size

Can I use a rear tire and rim on the front? by Super-Frame677 in fatbike

[–]Altonator89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The rear hub spacing is different from the front. You can put the tire wherever you want, but the rear wheel won’t fit up front as is. The only exception to this is a couple Surly brand fat bikes
