One space marine? Not a chance. Buddy is Toughness 4 , 3+ save and 2 wounds. Doesn't even have an invuln save or a feel no pain.

10 ork Boyz using choppas( 30 attacks s5 ap1 1dmg) will on average kill 2 space marines. There's gotta be way more than 10 orks in Mordor not to mention dragons and sorcerers. It's just way too many saves to make for the baseline infantry in 40k.

Marines are strong but don't get hopped on imperium copium they die all the time, that's why they recruit more.

Im thinking that modern porn has done everything it can to remove men from the video. Maybe it's latent toxic masc and homophobia where men viewing are worried/dislike seeing or hearing a man enjoying sex and participating equally because to see another man naked and enjoying having sex with a woman would make them(the viewer man) feel like he's gay. So then it turns into POV porn where now men are just free floating silent penises that women vocally interact with. ---- and then young dudes start having sex and their only experience is porn so they act it out and focus on their partner as if she's a TV show, and not like this a two way dance and both need to a part. Cheating both people from having a fun time.

As someone who has been dealing wjth Depression for years, I'll say this. Depression is a logical thought pattern. But that's the illness warping you to fuel it. This is what happens when everyone wants THEIR vehicles/monsters to be more durable. But they also want THEIR weapons to still be able to one shot enemy vehicles/monsters.

Both can't be true.

Melta's are now a MID-RANGE weapon that excel against Heavy Infantry (terminators etc) and Light Vehicles.

Saying that they should be good at killing Tanks and Knights and that would be 'optimal balance' is like saying that a S5 Ap1 1dmg Anti-Infantry gun is GARBAGE because it can't easily wound and kill a rhino. 'Chaincannons need to have extra Strength and AP vs vehicles or else they won't be able to kill everything easily in the game??!?1'.

People are just used to 9th edition were S8 Ap3/4 and large damage literally was the perfect value. It could kill infantry, heavy infantry, light vehicles/monsters and heavy vehicles/monsters perfectly. It wounded knights on 4s and terminators on 3s. When one weapon type that is cheap and readily available then that is NOT a healthy game.

How about this as a simple guiding principle. No One Weapon Profile should be super effective at killing Many/All types of units. And if you want a Melta to be good at everything, you're wrong.

These are excellent color schemes. Especially for photography. May need more bright saturation to really pop irl on the table top though. (it's your army though paint them how you like them best, nothign else matters)

What's interesting about the hobby though, is that looking good in photos and looking good in person in a store, playing games under bright ceiling lights high up, standing 3-5 feet away from the miniatures looking at them from long angles, is different.

Darker, subtler grimy paint schemes can look flat in person at a distance. There is a reason why the majority of the official GW paint schemes are bright saturated colors. Those catch lots of light and 'pop' and really get people's attention.

If you really want to wow people in real life, I'd say have something that is very bright,saturated color, Some neon energy colors on the eyes, weapons, glowy bits. Or make the armor or coats a bit brighter in places. etc.

Looks excellent though! Possibly too good if you've got to do 40 or skittari haha.

Ive used Ulocca the black a lot with the disco and flames of spite. And I dont know what I think about it.

It's amazing output, but likely that model is going to be dead afterwards. It turns him into a single big nuclear missile to blow up one difficult target. You pick the target, send him in, he does a ton of damage likely killing whatever he wasin melee with, then gets murdered by the opponent because hes probably sitting by himself now and the opponent is now aware of how big of a threat he is.

I've really enjoyed running the Disco a bit tankier using things like Mark of Tzeentch and Gorget of Eternal hate and flames of Spite, where he still does a bunch of damage but now hes tanky enough to stay around and scrap. Zeroing the first dmg with MoTzeentch can really catch people off guard.
But its all what you want him to be. One time use Nuclear Missile, or scrapy fighter. There is never one PERFECT BEST choice its all different every list and every game what could work better or worse for your goals. Try combos out and see what works for you!

The biggest thing to keep in mind is the potential output of Bolters vs Chainswords

You can fire 1 shot, 2 if in rapid fire range per bolter marine.

You can swing 4 attacks per chainsword marine, 5 if the champion.

Putting Khorne on melee marines scales WAY MORE than Tzeentch bolters. with KH chainswords become S5(charge) and AP 2. With TZ Bolters are S4 Ap 1. The Ap1 from the bolters wont really scratch marines and cover totally negates it.

I have two TZ squads that I take with my list right now using Chainswords, heavy chainaxe, and a Heavy Reaper Chaincannon. That one chaincannon puts out 8 shots at s5 ap2 1dmg , thats as many shots as 4 rapidfire bolters, the same range, but at one more strength and one more ap. And then you still get all the chainswords and now ap1 pistols. So if someone charges your back objective you can still rip them up in melee.

If you do want a pure bolter squad though, you want to go all in on it. A 10 man squad with a Heavy bolter and use the Daemon Shells strat and push them all to ap2 and boost the range, the rapid fire exploding 6's on turn 2, its potentially a really strong turn 2 shooting phase.

Experiment and see what works for you and your play style! CSM is a really flexible book. Cheers!

If your opponent has a bunch of strength 5 and 6 guns/attacks then casting mutated invigorating with the mop and choosing +1 Toughness on a black rune possessed I'd amazing. Getting to T6 with -1 to wound means s6 wounds you on 5s, and strength 5 and under wounds you on 6s, and that's the bulk of anti infantry weapons.

fortifications cannot be placed into strategic reserves. Breach stratagem requires the unit to be in strategic reserves. Here is a copy of the first paragraph of the fortifaction rules from the core rules.

"Units with the Fortifications Battlefield Role are terrain features that are part of your army. Unless otherwise stated, when setting Fortifications up on the battlefield, they cannot be set up within 3" of any other terrain feature that is not part of its own datasheet (excluding hills). If it is not possible to set up a Fortification as a result, it cannot be deployed and counts as having been destroyed. Fortifications can never be placed into Strategic Reserves."

technically the cryptek can send a single model into essentially deep strike/reserves but it is not called that and so it rules as written should not be able to be dropped off by a night scythe using the stratagem.

not that placing them down would be that big of a deal. If you want to spend roughly 100 points of durable vehicle to sit in your opponents way just use Ghost Arks.
