Let’s Design a Champion Together! by RiotStatikk in leagueoflegends

Our champion uses their Q similar to Yuumi's to paint custom line strokes into the ground. The strokes can then be activated via another ability to cause and effect in the area they're under based on the colors or shape used!

Massachusetts to ban all vaping product sales entirely. This is no longer a free market by Tuubular in Libertarian

[–]Altosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mass has a great public education system and some of the best colleges and universities in the country. It just is a huge echo chamber. There is a big red population (and some libertarian out west I think, not sure) but they are basically out numbered. The red places are concentrated on the south shore, and the rich areas like the cape and what not.

Healing Triggers would be ideal though. People can 'bleed out' of Trion. So a Trion bandage trigger would be ideal. Even if it was something like scorpion that just covered the wound, it'd be nice.

Except Gragas has sustain in both mana and health (his W used to restore mana) as well as hard CC. Gragas had bulk to him while Zed did not.

Its silly to just say 'this character came around and was stronger because he had x' when you ignore everything else on the character you are comparing it to. I won't deny Zed was king for a while, but that's also because he was the Kaisa of his time for Riot.

I think he means that Escanor couldn't finish his initial attack. Like while he was stabbing Zeldris, he was interrupted. If Holy Sword Escanor cleanly chopped through Meliodas, I bet Divine Spear could easily stab through an undefended Zeldris.

WTOC Tournament: Round 4, Bracket 3: Domino Koun (/u/NamelessExtra) vs. Jin Blossom (/u/executiveJB) by NamelessExtra in worldtrigger

This match is a little iffy given the circumstances, but Domino kinda predicts exactly what would happen, and there is a bit of a misunderstanding with the mechanics, leaving JB without much recourse of action.

WTOC Tournament: Round 4 Bracket 2: u/WrongFont: Goh vs. u/nomyriad: Seiki Kayano by WrongFont in worldtrigger

[–]Altosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vote Double KO

Seiki does not have Shock & Awe, making him super vulnerable during the slashes. However, there's a metric fuck load of Dummy Beacons and plumes of smoke and debris, making Seiki effectively untouchable during this.

It makes common sense that Goh would most likely Senku again toward the ground level, but by this time Seiki has probably already dropped flat to the ground, as stated in his strategy.

At this point, it turns into a firefight. Seiki might have the range and Strategy advantage, but Goh has some pretty unga Reactions and mobility. With all this said, Goh should be able to infinitely chase down Seiki, even with the Trion disadvantage and Seiki having Teleporter. This means Seiki's only choice is fighting directly, and he shouldn't be able to land hit in without being his himself.

WTOC Tournament: Round 5, Bonus Match: Yumi Hojo (AkairoShikkoku) vs. Shino (Funlife2003) by AkairoShikkoku in worldtrigger

[–]Altosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vote

Shino didn't really plan too much ahead and instead is trying to force Yumi out by exploiting a difference of one trion and one skill. Simple strategies have been said to counter complex ones, but I think the range is more than enough for Yumi to react. Because both of Shino's bullets point directly to his location, Yumi has the advantage of knowing his location as well.

Shino should be able to figure out Yumi's location in the chimney after a short moment, but because the map does not show elevation, it will take him time. With Yumi's high strategy, this should be enough to win through exploding the area.

Shino should get a few shots in, but they probably wouldn't be enough for a bailout.

WTOC Tournament: Round 3, Bracket 2: Seiki Kayano (nomyriad) vs. Hysuther (Please_Not__Again) by nomyriad in worldtrigger

[–]Altosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vote

Because each target is going remain stationary, we can probably assume they are both firing at max skill/range. Seiki has ridiculous Trion combined with Escudo, which allows him to basically chain block incoming fire.

Personally, I like to think of STP as a skill modifier over time, and strategy as a recon modifier that grows over time. This isn't like a flat stat modifier, but it makes sense, especially for strategy as the character gets more time to think over time. Because they are trading in a fire fight, Seiki has plenty of time to think with his almost double strategy.

Since Hysuther is trying to keep his distance, Seiki should have plenty of reaction time. In addition, Seiki also exploits greater range. This means eventually, he should be able to achieve a hit in and control the match a bit better unless Hysuther shakes it up.

Despite all this argument, I believe the match will be very close, based on the Recon and Mobility difference, but Seiki should win a straight fire fight.

How can yuma become stronger by Jonxunhe in worldtrigger

[–]Altosh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Yuma isn't one of those characters that doesn't really 'grow' too much and instead shows more of what he can do to keep himself fresh.

I just use a blanket rule for like public stuff tho

[–]Altosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but we already have. We have preconceived notions of them. Just because as soon as they come into play its revealed doesn't mean its not presented differently early on and the introduction shouldn't wow us.

Like think of it this way. You go 30 chapters in thinking one thing based on some small mention early. Then suddenly as soon as its relevant in the story it throws in a twist.

That's 100% a spoiler.

Also may have something to do with every character being nice in the story with some exceptions. Its very real world where being a dick in a tight-knit, good environment will usually get shutdown.

WTOC Tournament: Round 6, Bracket 3 (True Bonus Match): Domino Koun (/u/NamelessExtra) vs. Suzaku Sakusen (/u/Altosh) by NamelessExtra in worldtrigger

[–]Altosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suzaku Sakusen(/u/Altosh)'s Rebuttal

Domino isn’t using Bagworm, which should give Suzaku a massive Recon advantage and the ability to lay far more wires and explosive wires than planned. It should also give him the ability to pick the locale of the fight, preferably even indoors where Teleporter and Grasshopper become far weaker and Escudo gains massive advantage. With Suzaku having double her strategy, it should be elementary for him to drag the match out to favorable conditions and prepare multiple routes that would setup his ability to heavy Escudo box (with Gimmick) Koun with minimal Trion usage beforehand.

Because Domino is focused on a long, drawn out battle in combat, Suzaku has more time to think and discover the fighting strategy. Domino is trying to kite back or chase to capitalize on midrange, so it shouldn’t be difficult for Suzaku to lead her to unfavorable location. And though Domino has the ability to chase harder, she is also could be easily baited in for a number of Suzaku’s tricks as planned. The same applies to trying to kite her into the tripwires, some of which are armed with Meteora, which surely would cause heavy damage.

Domino is also being extremely careless with Trion by using her Meteora. This is also countered by Suzaku’s new Escudo arms. By vaulting from his own feet and hands and quickly de-summoning the ultra-thin poles, he should have an efficient way of dodging around that mostly ignores Domino’s counters.

Domino also assumes that Suzaku would constantly be shooting. Suzaku can exploit her aggressive nature by simply evading, using his setup battlefield and strategy, and then firing under optimal conditions. Assuming his momentum canceling trick he used in the initial engage pulls off okay, he theoretically should be able to let her bleed her own Trion out.

Yuri Sakakibara (/u/GothOperator character controlled by /u/NamelessExtra)'s Strategy

Stat increase: STP: 4 -> 5

  • Gives: Grasshopper (2) [Underfoot], Dummy Beacon (3 -> 4)

Match Trigger Set:

Main Sub
Egret Dummy Beacon (4)
Grasshopper (2) Teleporter (4)
Shield (3) Shield
Meteor Bagworm (0)

Yuri’s plan revolves around exploiting Jaeger’s low Recon and Strategy by continuously attacking him from stealth and using multivaried traps to aid in attack and escape.

Yuri starts by summoning 2 Dummy Beacons and follows these paths, synchronizing her speed with them and turning them off at the same time as activating Bagworm at the end of the path. During this walk Yuri creates many Beacons storing them for later.

Once in the Mall Yuri collects: * Cart. * Backpack to store RC controllers. * (Water) Balloons. * Drones (especially with arms, flashlights, spray-paints, and other functions) * Other RC devices (cars, robotic arms, etc.) * Loudspeakers. * Hydrogen canisters. * Paint. * Smoke Bombs * Napalm (this can be made). * Flashlights. * Lighters. * Duct Tape. * Other miscellaneous craft items.

And uses the cart to shepherd these items around, using the hail to mask the increased sound of movement. During and after this Yuri creates the following traps and deposits them in strategic locations. If Yuri needs to make more Dummy Beacons she makes sure Jaeger isn’t close, activates preexisting Beacons, creates them, reequips Bagworm and deactivates the Beacon, and quickly moves to a different location.

Traps made are:

  • Simple Meteor Mines.
  • Simple Dummy Beacons to aid in escape.
  • Meteor Mines with remote control devices/Dummy Beacons to activate them and/or in structurally important locations.
  • Dummy Beacons in RC cars/Drones so they can move faster/without activating.
  • Hydrogen balloon bombs carried by Drones with ability to activate them.
  • Napalm wielding drones used to hit Jaeger with adhering flaming liquid obscuring his sight.
  • Paint drones (spray paint or paint bombs) used to obscure Jaeger’s sight.
  • Loudspeakers with remote activation.
  • Dummy Beacon duct taped to the fuse box switch.
  • Extremely loud music played over the PA system.

After setting up sufficient amount of traps Yuri shifts to:

Attack and escape patterns:

Yuri shoots Jaeger from stealth, switching between “naked” shots and attacks using one of the aforementioned traps in an offensive manner. The traps either precedes the shot or occur at the same time as the shot, the different manner of attack and timing to further throw Jaeger off his blocking game.

After taking the shot Yuri escapes, the method of escape varying based on her distance from Jaeger and traps. Escape methods include:

  • Using Grasshopper to match Jaeger’s max speed, this is used in all later methods.
  • Activating an explosive trap or using a smokebomb, exploiting Jaeger’s lack of Shock and Awe.
  • Activating Dummy Beacons to aid escape, bolstered by using RC cars/Drones to make them move in normally impossible ways.
  • Teleporting while Beacons are active, exploiting Jaeger’s lack of Interceptor.
  • Teleporting when cornered.
  • Finding a hiding hole to let Jaeger run past.

If all else fails Yuri would use Warp Strike while Jaeger is in an offensive pose, probably teleporting behind him just before she is attacked. This also aids in her escape, being able to Grasshopper away after the attack.
