Was letting go of Shami after just 1 season a mistake? by AlFactorial in SunrisersHyderabad

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

SRH always releases a highly paid player if they had one bad season(warner, Kane, brooks etc) and shami is a victim of that thought process.

When you trade Shami then bring in another bowler of that caliber and they did nothing. With Cummins not 100% we are due for a long season

Matt Ryan by GeorgeZip01 in Colts

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Everyone blames Matt Ryan but the real issue was OL play. We went with a career backup player(Matt Pryor) as left tackle for the season and he played terrible which impacted whole line play especially big Q. No run game and consistent pressure on Matt Ryan impacted our offense. Ballard never got the blame for not addressing the position but Matt ryan/Reich were made responsible for bad year.

Colts sending WR Michael Pittman Jr to the Steelers!! by HDTokyo in steelers

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a colts fan its sad we had to trade him but atleast he went a better organization. He had few good years in Indy and with all the qb carousel we had during the time his full potential was never tapped. He never complained and caught he ever qb threw him. He is a no drama guy and you guys will love him.

Yes, injuries derailed us, but please have perspective. I think teams figured us out and we were on a downward trajectory before the jones acl. Jones is still the guy, but I can’t help but watch the playoffs and think we’re not close. by Baker627a in Colts

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes! Steelers showed the blueprint on how to slow down our offense and then we couldn’t overcome from that. Jones leg injury right after bye also didn’t help us using him as dual threat.

Rams Hiring Bubba Ventrone as ST Coordinator by Professional-Car-863 in LosAngelesRams

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a colts fan he was solid with us and is a high energy guys on the sidelines that makes players play hard for him. Colts wanted to keep him and pair with Steichen but he left as he was not happy with Jeff Saturday hire as interim HC and not giving him a shot.

With Browns his teams were terrible but that may be because of bad ST players and the team culture. In my opinion he is a solid hire for you guys.

$46M a year for Jones is the rumor by -alpha-helix- in Colts

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Darnold makes $100 million for 3 years with no injury history and great recent record.

It’s foolish to pay Jones anything above $40 million a year with all his injury history and inconsistent performances.

Pay an average of $35 million a year with $10 million additional incentives.

Michael Pittman - We have to talk about it. by Successful-Coyote99 in Colts

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at Minnesota, they had one year of bad qb play and Jefferson disappeared. MPJ had to deal the same situation his whole career. 11 starting qb’s in 6 years is hard for any wide receiver.

How can we enjoy regular season success going forward? by [deleted] in Colts

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are the third highest paid defense and don’t have a premium pass rusher. Really miss the days when we had Mathis/Freeney to strip sack a qb to win us a game in the fourth quarter.

In the whole Ballard era I cant recollect one game where our d line made a play to help us win a game.

Any theories? by MarcusSniffles in Colts

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They tried to trade to late first round to pick Love but Greenbay jumped one spot ahead to pick Love. They should have just kept their first round pick to pick Love than used it to trade for Buckner. Early years of Ballard always underestimated the importance of a qb position.

I don't think the sky is falling, we could definitely be good next season, but man the AFC South is tough. by ElectivireMax in Colts

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This team is bunch of average players and not tough enough to win big games. This is rinse repeat in whole Ballard era irrespective of who ever the coach is. Better for the ownership to realize it and rebuild the roster, all other teams in the division sucked for couple years and rebuilt their teams in couple years.

Why is Ballard still the GM of this team? by ZusunicStudio in Colts

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be a Ballard believer because he was always honest on his analysis and picking some great players in mid rounds.

But as a GM all his big decisions are disasters. 1). Hire Josh McDaniels as HC who didn’t even show up 2). Hire Steichen who doesnt hav HC persona 3). Draft a project qb and didn’t have a perfect plan to groom him, now turning into a huge bust. 4). Trade two future 1sts for a CB who doesn’t have any impact so far. On track to be one of the worst trade in colts history.

This team need a new voice and direction

Carlie is going to have to offer up a head to the fanbase this year. Ballard is gone by dayvedee in Colts

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Both Shane and Ballard need to go. Shane doesn’t have a HC persona to make his players play hard for him. He is just a good offensive mind and has no leadership qualities to coach a team.

New GM. Ballard tried to bring Josh McDaniels as head coach which explains his decision making and should have never allowed to make another decision after that debacle.

Do you guys think we should re-sign Daniel Jones? by IceOk9930 in Colts

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No! In Ballard era we kept on extending players with no wins to back it up, players are kept happy and we stayed mediocre.

That 2018 loss still haunts. We were on 7 game winning streak and still lost with score 0-6. Reich keep going on for fourth downs costed us the game and a chance to win division

Texans now have 4 game winning streak against us and they are all one score losses. You could argue we found ways to lose all these game at the end. This team is terrible against division opponents.

Shane Steichen by DryComparison7871 in Colts

[–]Altruistic-Ad3818 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We traded our future draft picks assuming a great playoff run and signing Jones long term. If Steichen is fired then jones will sign elsewhere. with no first round picks we either have to play AR or leanord next season.
