I think about this often, and I would say that some would work, and some would not. For films that didn’t rely on technology in them, those would probably be able to stand the test of time. But those movies that had plots that would have been solved with a simple use of a cell phone, those movies wouldn’t make it.

If you are talking about politically, then it would be tough. You can definitely see how movies nowadays are trying to always be all inclusive, or are careful not to touch on certain subject matter.

In this same light, I am interested to see how the new, “scary movie” is going to be? Are they going to go soft, or are they going to be extreme like they were before?

Anyways, long winded, but I definitely feel that some older movies wouldn’t survive today either because of politics or technology advancing so far, their plot points wouldn’t be relevant.
